As soon as we drawed the curtains open and saw the breath-taking view, we knew that this was the vacation we always dreamed of. The staff was friendly and efficient, the room was clean and fabulous. The sauna, pool and massage was wonderful and the food was delicious and on par.

The views and spa facilities were awesome. Well worth the trip right there. Parking can be a problem but always worked for us. There is a great walk down to the lake but if you want anything else, like lunch or a dinner that is not a set course, you really need to drive. But again - great views.

When I arrived the check-in staff made me feel incredibly welcome and that continued throughout. I encountered a few issues during the stay which they did their utmost to correct (and did). Breakfast was plentiful and the restaurant good. The walk to the town is about 25 mins and the return is up a steep hill so may not be for everyone

This hotel is rare for its period charm combined with modern facilities. The rooms overlooking the lake are superb. It has a wonderful ambience and a first class restaurant. The dinner menu is imaginative and delicious and the breakfasts are superb
