It’s looked like a damn slum behind the building , tires and trash laying there ! The rear entrance door near my room on the first floor was broken ! I was carrying a lot of cash and jewelry . So I did not sleep much and had my pistol close to me . The television did not work and changed a room and the tv still did not work, nice to be able to check the news and weather during travels , cable issues which does happen but there was not bad weather .before I checked out the tv started to work , oh joy . People were nice whom managed it but cmon no tv so I could destress after driving 496 miles . Never saw good coffee in the morning . What a crap hole

Good

Everything was good. Continental breakfast was ok. Staff was very pleasant. Pet friendly was a plus. Price was great as well. Would definitely recommend if your on a budgeted vacation.

NOT newly remodeled

This was positively one of the nastiest hotels I have ever stayed in. They do not have a public restroom, even for guests. The restroom I was allowed to use prior to my room being ready, was located in a room that had towels on the floor and an unmade bed. The bathroom was filthy....the floor and baseboard clearly haven't been cleaned in months/year, the trash can was overflowing, countertop and mirror, walls, door...everything had a film. They have signage which claims they newly remodeled. What they should say is they purchased phones and mismatched furniture from The Truman Hotel. My nonsmoking room included a sheet, 3 pillows without cases, and an old, stained blanket that was full of burn holes. The dresser was lacking drawers and the dust and unknown stains on the carpeting, TV, chair, microwave, and frig were frightening. The sound of the wall unit furnace/fan was like a running engine all...night...long. The non-carpeted exterior hallway echoes the sounds of everyone walking through it and above it the floor above. Based on this experience, I will never stay at a Americas Best Value Inn again.

Cheap hotel

Dirty/stained furniture and towels; small room in need of updates and paint. Biscuits and gravy for breakfast was nice.

The Staff

Pros: the staff

I was a vendor at a local craft show. The staff was so kind and friendly. They had smiles on every-time I saw them.

Soccer game

The manager was rude and blamed the employee for his error. We were sent to 4 different rooms before we got what we paid for. Paid for smoking, given non smoking then the 2nd room was given to someone else when we went to dinner then 3rd room, ac didn't work and the 4th room was acceptable. Wouldn't recommend! !!!

Would not hesitate to stay again.

Pros: Reasonable rates, helpful staff, general cleanliness.
Cons: If I were the owner, I think investing in updating the decor and fixing a few maintenance problems would go a long way toward customer satisfaction.
Location: We were there for an ice skating competition and the rink was close by. It is also close to a main avenue with plenty of restaurants and fast food.
To those who want luxury, this is an older motel. To be sure, it does have some minor maintenance issues and the room decor is dated. (1950's blond Oak Laminate furniture and 21 inch TV's) But our room was clean, reasonably maintained, and the mattresses were comfortable, and it was convenient to our activities. It offers good value to those who need a place to stay for a night or two.
