Worst stay ever

To start the check in line is huge with no directions only one person at the counter We stayed in the Villa which was three bedroom I have three kids I wanted to make sure everybody stays comfortably Thursday AC did not work I complain to send somebody this it’s working did not work call them again at night too dark can’t fix anything three days of my stay I stayed without an AC , they have 2 resturant which one was closed one day and the other was closed the second day , you have to make reservations for only 2 slots 6.30 or 8.30 ( terrible) The buffet restaurant is not that great food is very limited and they will not refill i was simply told WE ARE out NO mass ... well entertainment team is awesome and the beach is amazing so is the pool but service sucks ... they run out of bottle water so we were only allowed one per son for whole day. About adult drinks not too many choices.... well i will never come back to omni ever.

Upon arrival, we experienced the diligent 20 minute effort of a hotel staff member to sell us on their "vacation club". I didn't appreciate the effort as I had already spent good money for this vacation. It could have been summed up very easily by asking, "Would you like to attend a free breakfast and 90 minute tour to learn how you can save money on future vacations by joining our vacation club?". I didn't need to hear all the bribery pitches of how much they could save us on each and every possible excursion during this trip. After the sales pitch, we were taken to our room. It was not what I had reserved and paid for. I reserved an Executive Suite with a king bed but was given a suite with 2 double beds. Apparently what I "reserved" via Travelocity was actually considered a "request" by the hotel. Meaning, if they have it available, sure, you can have that. If not, this is what you get. I settled for a regular room with a king bed and promise that we would be moved the next day to our desired room and we would have it for the duration of the stay. None of the staff kept informed as to when that would take place so the next 1/2 day was wasted waiting for the new room and periodically checking with the front desk to see if it was ready yet. Credit given to the staff...they made good on their promise but cost me a day of my planned vacation. At this time, they chose to casually mention that they in the process of renovating the property and that we *might* exper

Family Vacation

Cons: Bed mattresses Dinner meals at restaurants Bigger entertainment staff
Location: Great area
Great place for families, and hotel is located right on the Cancun strip with lots to do - very safe.

Nice Hotel Close to the Beach

This was our first trip to Cancun. The staff at this hotel made us feel like home. We are For sure coming back next year

Watch out for timeshare tour !

Upon check in, we were delayed a bit by a lady trying to convince us in doing a 90min timeshare tour in exchange for discounted tickets to three excursions. Looking for a great deal, we decided to invest some of our vacation time for the discounted tickets. The tickets turned out to be the most basic ones which bummed is out, since we missed out on better interactions with the Dolphins. We did make the best of our vacation and enjoyed it the best we could.

It was a great experience staying at Omni Cancun! very nice and friendly staff, excellent service,good food and very clean room!! i really suggest this hotel to others so they can experience a unforgettable vacation.
