We were so impressed by everything about the Shaker Mill Inn, from the cleanliness of the room (we even had a pet-friendly room and there were absolutely no signs of any animals having been there) to the lovely outdoor deck to the delicious breakfast they left in our room each day. So many nice touches, like shower robes, a hand-held shower head as well as a regular one--even a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. The grounds were beautiful and the setting! Wow! A fantastic restaurant was just a stroll away, and lots of wonderful things to do within an easy (and beautiful) drive. John was as friendly and helpful as can be. We already made reservations for next year!

The Shaker Mill Inn was charming and comfortable. They had everything we needed here. Patti & John were accommodating and friendly. I would recommend this place to others.

The rooms were all different. Ours was just what we wanted for three women on a road trip! The owner greeted us, escorted us to the cute room where he had a bottle of wine waiting for us, and delicious locally made breakfast foods in the mini fridge. In spite of it being a cold night, the room was cozy and water nice and warm for our showers. Located walking distance to a pub with good food. Highly recommend! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Our suite was huge and impeccably clean. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of goodies and the complimentary wine was way above average (we are wine lovers). West Stockbridge is quaint and historic and made a nice stop over on our trip. We Highly Recommend the Shaker Mill Inn !!

Like staying at Grandma's

I love this place. Wine and snacks are waiting for you, breakfast pastries, quiche, milk, and OJ. And the are restocked when you're gone. Just like grandma's. Loose leaf binder showing all the good restaurants ! It's so good I don't want to tell anyone about it! Like grandma's, sounds travels. Conversations from adjoining rooms are muffled, but you can hear them.... and they can hear you. Our upstairs neighbors woke at 630, and marched across the creaky floor for the next 90 minutes. Loud tv, music, or conversation after 10pm is not appreciated. Which is a plus in my book. We will make a point of staying here whenever we pass this end of the state!
