"Best Trip Ever!"
One of the reasons we love this hotel is because we are always treated like family. Thank you to Mike Nakada, Roland, Evelyn Alanda and Lawrence. They were all very helpful and attentive. The reason we return. Chuck and the beach services staff are friendly and accommodating on the best beach on Waikiki. It is so relaxing just to sit and enjoy the view. The tower view of the ocean and Diamond Head is amazing. The sunset is beautiful. We love the historic section of this hotel, but the tower is a fun change of pace. We absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Oahu. It is peaceful and the surrounding gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Mahalo to our Hawaiian family.

"WOW- Great Value for Luxury"
My husband and I spent 5 days at the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki. From the moment you get out of the vehicle they are there to take your bags, greet you with Shell leis, better than flowers they don’t die and whisk you to reception. Every staff member we bumped into whether reception, concierge, bellhop or housekeeping was friendly and smiled. The room was WOW. Very clean with kitchenette fully stocked with pots, dishes, blender, toaster, refrigerator, sink, microwave and stove top. Everything you need to cook and enjoy your meals, plus save money on eating out all the time. Every room, from what I understand has a balcony and even with a city view, we had a partial ocean view. They made sure you had bottled water always on hand if you needed more it was a simple call to reception and it was at your room within minutes. There is also a small food truck lot next to hotel that sold local foods. We had a few meals there and it was good for the price. But get there early, they sell out fast. Pool is not very large, but perfect for wading. There is also a hot tub spa for relaxing in. The pool has a lot of lounge chairs some in sun and some in shade. I didn’t come to Hawaii to swim in a pool, but I did use the hot tub. There is poolside service with bar and food. I highly recommend the Mai Tai and the Lychee Mojito. Nicole and Tanja, pool attendants were so very attentive, friendly, and just made the stay perfect. Concierge was also very helpful, especially Mia

"Can't wait to go back!"
Our stay at the Hyatt Centric was terrific. Probably the quietest hotel we've ever stayed at. The front door staff are attentive, friendly, polite and helpful. They are always at the ready to call a cab, load or unload luggage, or grab beach towels and chairs with a smile. The Front Desk staff are equally friendly, helpful and professional. This hotel has a very shallow wading pool, but no swimming pool. The hot tub was not hot at all, which may have been by design. The Hyatt Centric will always be our first choice during future visits to Oahu. We enjoyed the fact that we were in walking distance to the beach, downtown and Diamond Head.

"Very relaxing"
Great Hotel, recommend getting beach view, worth the money. Everything you need is at the hotel, shopping stores all on lower level, everything in Hi is really pricey, so make sure you have extra cash available or a credit card. Parking garage is across the street from hotel, they charge 30 dollars a day for parking. Rent from the airport if you need a vehicle, you can rent at the hotel but it's pricey and you might have to make reservations to get one. You can take the public bus from the airport for a few bucks, it's about a 30 min bus drive or a cab which is a 10 min drive for 45 bucks and a shuttle for 16 bucks per person. No real down falls besides traffic if your trying to travel to other side of Island, avoid rush hour like you would in every city.

Wondering where to stay in Honolulu?

Sitting on your private balcony with a chilled cocktail in one hand, swaying palm trees and the faint sound of a ukulele serving as your evening symphony, you realize this is the good life. So, where are you staying? Waikiki, of course. The Honolulu area that draws in seafarers and beach combers by the thousands. There are loads of accommodations with breathtaking ocean views and aloha spirit, and these hotels in Honolulu are a few of the best:

    • Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort: Stay at the top of the Rainbow Tower and enjoy views of turquoise waves that seem to go on for days, or stay in the exclusive ALI’I luxury hotel within the resort. Take advantage of island amenities, including surf lessons and the longest waterslide in Waikiki.
    • Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa: Steps from the beach and next to Diamond Head, this hotel puts you in prime position for the Hawaiian vacation of a lifetime. Spend your morning in the spa, getting a massage or relaxing body wrap, before you mosey down to the coastline and take a dip in the ocean. Resort fees include one mai tai per day. Ah, bliss.
    • Pacific Beach Hotel: You’ll wake up, part the curtains, and gaze upon the island paradise just outside your window. No, it’s not a dream. You’re staying at the Pacific Beach Hotel, just steps from the beach. So get dressed, rent a surf board from the hotel, and try your foot at hanging ten.

    Aloha, Beach Vacation

When it comes to ideal Hawaiian getaways, Honolulu hotels are just the beginning. After a peaceful night of rest, you’re ready to tackle the best island activities in sight. Your mornings are best spent in the company of the Pacific, getting sand between your toes turning your face lovingly toward the sun.

After toweling off, slip into your favorite pair of shorts and tennis shoes and make your way to Diamond Head. Hiking the 760-foot-tall volcanic crater will be physically intense, but your lion’s heart can accept any challenge. Plus, the sweeping view of the island and sea from the top of the crater will make your effort more than worth it.

Trade geographic landmarks for man-made history with a visit to the USS Arizona Memorial. Once due respects are paid, you’ll be ready to go out in search of food. Sit down at a breezy seaside restaurant and order a bowl of poke. This local dish will make you weep tears of joy as you sink your teeth into bite-sized chunks of raw ahi tuna that have been seasoned with soy sauce, sesame oil, scallions, and sea salt; served over rice, it’s the ideal light lunch. Eating it, you’ll feel like a native in no time.

You’re ready to head to the land of leis and coconut bras. With your phone on airplane mode and your worries on the mainland, you’re ready to check in to one of the best places to stay in Honolulu. Get ready to feel sand between your toes and a sense of unparalleled joy. Book your room with Travelocity Honolulu hotel deals, and you’ll save enough cash to try every lunch plate in Honolulu if you want.
