"Great location, mostly good service."
We were staying in Honolulu visiting relatives. We got a good deal through Travelocity. The location was great. Ala Moana Hotel is adjacent to a shopping mall of the same name, and two blocks from a park of the same name. Ala Moana Center is the premier shopping mall in Honolulu. Deborah got to shop until she dropped, and I ate my way through the food court. I also walked to the park and walked along the beach along the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The staff were courteous and one member of the front desk went out of her way to locate an item which had been delivered to the hotel. It was my Christmas present from Deborah, an autographed baseball signed by Detroit Tigers great Al Kaline. On the negative side, the day before a different person at the front desk told us that the package had not been delivered when, as we found out, it had been.

"Hilton Hawaiian Village"
The resort is beautiful and very close to everything in Waikiki. However the bed was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. Also, the restaurants on premises are priced out of control. This was our 2nd time here and we would like to try another hotel next time

"The hotel was overall a pleasant experience"
It is very apparent that this was restructured. The bathroom had a sliding frosted door that did not lock; the couch area was beyond the beds and it was separated by two sliding doors that were poorly constructed. We had the unfortunate luck of being next to the elevator and ice machine.

"awesome hotel on the beach"
Outrigger was an excellent choice (If I do say so myself), great staff, there to do anything for your enjoyable stay. The hotel staff and all the people working the restaurants were ALL very nice and caring. The fact that this hotel does not charge a resort fee, made me pick it, however, the hotel was better than the resorts that did charge a resort fee!

"Great hotel in a great location."
Stayed 3 nights on the 29th floor in a room looking directly over Waikiki and had nothing but spectacular views every morning, afternoon, and evening. I had to pay a little extra to get the direct ocean view, but it was worth it! The room itself was unusually spacious which really allowed me and my partner to spread out our stuff and never feel cramped. I also used the room for some work-related activities and found more than ample power outlets in the room and desk area. The room's WiFi was strong and consistent for the entire stay which was also a pleasure. I hope to stay at this hotel again!

"Great staff odd renovations"
The hotel staff was amazing. There was confusion with our reservation. They handled it quickly and efficiently, gave us drink tickets and the king room I'd ordered though travelocity didn't request. They also gave us two mi ti drink tickets for the inconvenience. The bellhops, valet, bartenders, housekeeping and reception staff were all top notch. The hotel was under renovation and some minor inconveniences were understandable. We were in one of the renovated rooms. It was a king with a microwave and fridge I think it was deluxe. Anyway the renovation looks nice however there are no available outlets except one in a very inconvenient spot in the middle of the wall behind the door (anything you plug in has to reach to the bathroom floor as there is no place to set it.) The light switch is also behind the door very hard to find the first night in the dark. In this day and age of phones, tablets, back up batteries and even watches needing charging my husband and I needed 8 outlets. We had to unplug all the lights, coffee maker and microwave to charge anything. The only free outlets are the ones in the bathroom. Also the shower is very small and dark. If not for a very pleasant staff this hotel would have received a 2. The location is amazing short walk to the beach, shopping and food in Waikiki.
