The English charm of the country house hotel

Pros: The location, the architecture, the room, the staff, and the food. The experience far exceded what we expected.
Cons: The available beer in the pub was quite average. There is a nearby brewery who's product would have improved the beer drinking experience considerably
Location: We arrived by train and found a local taxi adjacent to the station. Rather expensive, but what the heck. Stayed on the grounds.
Found the hotel by divine luck on the internet. Large romantic and attractive building on 34 acres of lovely park land. The architecture harks back to the 1880s with recent upgrades keeping the facility comfortable and creature comfort pleasing.
