In a rural location, this apartment is in an area with good shopping. Main Street Gallery and Foxfire Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kingwood Resort Golf and Rabun County Golf Club.
This is a top floor corner unit of an apartment building tucked back in the woods near downtown Clayton. We enjoyed our stay here. It's not a very scenic location but it was very well placed for us as we like to explore the waterfalls and short hikes around town. Easy to get back to for a quick rest and then back out for more. In the past we have rented places that were somewhat remote and could take 15-20 minutes to reach once you got off the main roads. This place was right near everything. It's less than 2 miles (via Polly Gap Road) to get to the Ingles, which is a twice-daily stop for us when we are in Clayton, for food at the deli and coffee at Starbucks. Right across Highway 441 is downtown with great restaurants and shops. There is also a small historic cemetery right at the end of the road which is well worth a visit. It was very comfortable and clean. Good internet connection, DirectTV, nice kitchen with dishwasher, overall a great little rental for a few days in the mountains. The pictures are very accurate as to what to expect.
