Nice Hotel right on the beach!

Room was a little dated, but still nice. Thought we were getting queen beds. Turned out they were two double beds. Overall it was a great experience. It cost 17.50 a night to park a hotel.

AMAZING VACATION at Marriott KING Kona Beach Hotel

Pros: The View was outstanding and the people were very nice and helpful with everything
Cons: Nothing can be improved THIS PLACE is AAA+++ PERFECT
Location: AWESOME RESTAURANTS with GREAT FOOD& Lots of Gift SHOPS & Stores,THE dock IS OUT FRONT You can Parasail,Dinner cruise,Glass bottom boat,Submarine ETC.
I had the MOST AMAZING Vacation Ever, THIS Hotel was in the BEST PLACE I have ever been...It is in a cove with a BIG Fishing Dock on the BIG ISLAND with incredible views overlooking the Beach front and the dock. Everything was GREAT at this hotel from the service up front to the concierge booking us to be picked up to Fly in a Helicopter to see the waterfalls and the volcanos and red hot lava and fly down the coast and we got picked up from the submarine at the dock in front of Marriott's hotel and took the Dinner cruise to Captain Cook's monument. All the restaurants were the BEST near the hotel, EVERYBODY was so helpful and friendly, We could Feel the LOVE and HIGHLY RECCOMEND TO ANYONE ALOHA

Terrible management

I got sick in the middle of my stay- fever, cough- confined to my bed for 3 days. I asked for help getting cough syrup and 2 oranges. The bellman tried to assist me but the manager wouldn't allow it. She said she would give me some cough drops but sent him back without any. The restaurant would not answer the phone to accept an order for 2 oranges. If I had a sick guest, I would have offered making a doctor's appointment, delivered chicken noodle soup besides the oranges and cough syrup.

Location: Great restaurants, splashers and Kona Brewery!
Walk out the door, you are on the beach! Luau real close!

Kona Vaca

Pros: Staff, location clean
Cons: Warnings of possible incidents while swimming at the facility beach
Location: Great restaurants. Shops
Good hotel. Staff and hotel condition very good; great location in Kona. The only problem I have was at the little beach the facility has. There is not warning of possible accident stepping on a sea urchin while sweamming at the facility beach. I stepped on one, leaving six punctures on my right foot. It was very painful experience, and almost ruined my vacation. The hotel should have recommendations of wearing shoes while swimming. They have a variety of water sports on shallow water. Thankfully, I decided not to go to the ER and suck up the pain with vinegar and !!urine!! Recommended by some locals. Still have the spines inside my skin, and waiting for them to come out.

Thank you for sharing comments about the recent stay at our hotel. I am sorry to read that you received an injury to your foot from a sea urchin. Normally, there aren't many in the area. As a precaution, many visitors will wear protective footwear when walking on the rocks or in the water, especially in unfamiliar areas. I'm sorry you had to have that experience. I hope the situation has gotten better for you.

The center of nearly everything in Kailua- Kona.

Pros: It was close to restaurants and activities and had many different services within the hotel.
Cons: Some of the fit and finish is starting to show its age. Painting would solve much of this.
Location: The hotel is right next to Kailua pier, which is the center of most activities happening in Kona.
Our experience at Marriott King Kamehameha was excellent. The hotel is right in the heart of Kialua-Kona and offers a great number of activities within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and nice, but is showing its age and could use some updating. The room was clean and comfortable, but I would recommend reserving a room away from the street. Our room was on the 5th floor and we had trouble sleeping most nights due to lively conversations and activities on the street below. The staff was friendly and eager to help. I would definitely stay again. However, I would make sure to get a different room.

Great location

Room was good size, close to shopping and restaurants. Very clean, including the grounds. Ample parking. Would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room; you do have the option to rent one. Nice little beach right out front.

Pros: the staff were great and the location was great.
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. Only a few minutes from the airport also.
Very clean hotel. close to shopping and many other activities. Would recommend to stay here.

Great place. Great pool. There's a little beach in the back that's fun for snorkeling. We stayed here in 2014 and again in 2015. We had a great time.
