"wonderful honeymoon!"
I was really happy with everything.... though we did upgrade to ocean side because the street/ Safeway side ("mountain view") was not pleasant or mountainous. Grills, hot tubs, pool were great and the room and kitchen outstanding.  Subzero fridge!

Pricing was very fair. The location is beautiful with just one road in between you and the beach. Rooms are very accommodating and the staff was friendly.

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
Ocean view room was amazing. Could be loud on lanai, depending on neighbors. Otherwise, interior walls were thick enough.

"better than expected"
Rooms were great - we hade a "garden view" condo, with two bedrooms, living room with pullout couch, and kitchen. Went with 3 adults, 2 kids. Our view was of the pool which was nice, and could see part of the ocean. Kitchen had fridge, microwave, oven, can opener, silverware/settings. There was a washer/dryer. Main bedroom had nice big bathroom with big shower. The shower head though was pretty small for the size of the shower. Air conditioning units in both bedrooms worked well, but main living room did get somewhat warm. There were plenty of warning about the ongoing construction, but this had little to no impact on our vacation. There was not excessive noise (but we were a bit away from main building under construction). There were occasional workers doing odd jobs around our building. The pool was great for the kids, very large, not deep, beach sand around it. Don't count on any privacy in the hot tub though, kids just go in that too. Wifi internet included, but had to enter a long username and password everytime you logged on which became annoying. Poolside grill ok. Overall very pleased and room much nicer than we expected. Would definitely go again.

"One night in Kauai"
Room had nice view over pool to ocean . 2-min stroll to ocean with beautiful man-made lagoon. Hotel is being refurbished. Restaurant staff was so slow . Bartenders very good. Good location to Kapaa. Definitely eat at Monico's Tacqueria. Really good.

"Beautiful hotel in Princeville"
We were welcomed by the friendly hotel staff at the Clubhouse. Felt very comfortable right away. Everything was clean and beautiful. Loved the pools. They even have bike rentals. Our unit was very clean and had plenty of towels and nice amenities. We had a beautiful view of a waterfall from our lanai. The only downside was perhaps the sounds at night from the frogs that live in the waterfall--but that's nature!!

"Pleasant stay for a good price"
We went with this hotel because it was reasonable and had good reviews. The facilities were good and all encompassing. It is older and could use some updating, but very clean and very friendly staff, especially all the front desk staff. Pool area was huge with a variety of options (Including a sand bottom and salt water version). We will return.

"Great quality and service"
The staff was unfailingly delightful. Although this is a big resort, it never felt crowded at all, which was remarkable. Very family and kid-friendly, but we (a middle-aged couple) had a great time as well. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. The pools are amazing. They are not square--they have natural volcanic rock sides and are a series of interconnected pools. Some are designated for 14+ ("adults") only. There is a lazy river connecting some of the pools so you can float away. There is also a saltwater lagoon that they constructed, surrounded by sand, so you can get the full beach experience without worrying about dangerous currents (a significant concern in the area). The concierge staff (contracted out to Expedia) was super-knowledgeable and helpful, for everything from excursions to dinner reservations. If you need a towel for an excursion, you can get one from the valet and return it when you get back to the resort. Towel are also available at the pools. If you didn't rent a car when you arrived at Lihue airport, you can rent from Avis right in the hotel lobby. Because the resort is so large, you end up doing a lot of walking, so that's something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. My husband had an excellent massage at the spa. Overall, it is an expensive place, but it was a great experience. I also appreciate how they have gone green--they provide reusable water bottles and have bottle
