"It's definitely a budget hotel"
It's cute and quant, but a no frills kind of place. There is a restaurant on the beach which is nice and tasty, but is a bit pricey. We referred to the hotel as the "motel 6 of Hawaii" If you want a bargin in Kauaii, this is your place. If you want luxury look to the Marriott.

"Nice old fashioned hawaiian hotel"
Great location with simple accommodations. It rained a lot so that affected the overall feeling of our stay. Also, it is hard to have a family in the condos because there aren't real doors to close to shut off the space. They are just sliding screens, so very little privacy and hard to stay quiet for baby to sleep.

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
Ocean view room was amazing. Could be loud on lanai, depending on neighbors. Otherwise, interior walls were thick enough.

"One night in Kauai"
Room had nice view over pool to ocean . 2-min stroll to ocean with beautiful man-made lagoon. Hotel is being refurbished. Restaurant staff was so slow . Bartenders very good. Good location to Kapaa. Definitely eat at Monico's Tacqueria. Really good.

"Nice hotel on the beach."
We usually stay at Marriott and liked this Courtyard. Nice location on the beach and close walk to town. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Leilani at the front desk who gave us lots of information on where to eat and snorkel. Pool and bar area might be too noisy for some guests, especially late at night but overall we had a great experience.

"Nice resort with a free upgrade."
We reserved a 1 bedroom suite but due to overbooking we were actually given a huge 2 bedroom condo that was awesome. Very nice décor, full kitchen with everything you could need to cook dinners, lots of movies and games, snorkels, tennis rackets, etc. Cannot complain one bit although I doubt this normally happens to people. Staff was nice and accommodating. Facilities were clean and the view is great.

"Paradise Found!"
We booked the Koa Kea based upon several reviews and were not disappointed. We upgraded to a deluxe oceanfront room and were extremely pleased with size, bedding, and amenities. This is really a wonderful hotel, with the perfect location, small size, and outstanding service one expects in a five star hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant Red Salt and the food was well-prepared and creative. Drinks by the pool were all top shelf brands and generously poured. The staff is friendly and helpful--eager to please, but not hovering or fawning. The room was serviced twice per day and was immaculate. The location of the hotel was perfect--right on the beach and enjoying a perfect view of the Pacific. There was a lovely beach steps from our room and the surf shack provides everything one needs for sunning, surfing, and snorkeling. We could not have been more pleased with our stay and are planning to return next year.

"Well kept Condo on the beach"
A short drive north from Lihue airport and upon arrival our condo was ready and waiting. The staff was friendly and courteous, they were informative and appeared to genuinely want us to enjoy our trip. The condo was clean and and provided all necessary kitchen appliances. There were several guide books on the shelf as well as many books if you had forgotten to bring your own. The first impression for us was "What a view" our condo looked out on the lawn and the sea. The grounds like the buildings are meticulously maintained. With the west facing unit we enjoyed the sunrise every morning. We are early risers and are entertained rather than bothered by the omnipresent chickens. (if you have never been to Kauai, they are everywhere) While the beach directly in front of the facility is not for swimming, a short walk north along the beach on a paved path and you are at a park. There is a beautiful pool with gas BBQ grills, adequate parking and 24hour security. We had a ground floor unit. If like us you are still able to climb stairs, I would recommend an upstairs unit. For half of our stay there was a family of 4 above us who sounded like a herd of buffalo any time they were there. By the time I was at wits end, they checked out.
