Charming and Comfortable
Pros:Quiet, good breakfast, friendly staff
We really enjoyed staying at the Goldener Adler. While it is a small inn, the staff is very friendly and the room was comfortable. If you are looking for luxury, this is not it. If you are looking for a quaint room with old world charm, the Goldener Adler is the place.
We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here our very first night in Innsbruck. It was really just a layover as our final destination was another 30-minute train ride away. I figured we'd be beat after the trans-Atlantic voyage and I was right. The staff here was very welcoming. Check-in went without a hitch. And in what seemed like the blink of an eye were seated an an outdoor area on the square, within sight of the Golden Dachl, eating some of the best food we'd EVER eaten. Their carpaccio was to die for. And my first taste of Grostl is one to remember for all time. You could walk here from the train station, but it would be a bit of a hike, especially with luggage. If you're traveling right and have a normal amount of energy, walk. The city is absolutely charming. I am really, really glad we stayed. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. They were even very gracious about holding our bags securely after checkout so we could explore.
