Fair price but needs improvement

Hotel rooms are clean but needs maintenance. Hotel staff need to be more friendly and polite. There is a big white guy behind the counter that does not great or acknowledge the customers and walks almost asleep.

Family visit

Front desk staff was above average. ..went above and beyond. ..I requested bottled water, getting in after 10, he quickly supplied me with a professional paper bag with four bottles of water and a pack of crackers. Then with room key problems, he was quick to escort me with a new key to make sure I was able to get it without issue. Awesome young man.

Quick over night trip to ECU

Pros: Close to ECU, good breakfast, new bathroom
Cons: Room heating and air
Location: It took about 10 min. To get to ECU.
This hotel is pretty basic, but it was clean and fairly comfortable. They need to update the heating and air in the rooms, and the carpet was a bit worn, but the bathroom has been redone and the shower was great! I would stay again for a quick over night stay.

Rooms are nice but...

Rooms and hotel are nice, however, housekeeping was a little lazy in taking care of our room during our 5-day stay. I used to do housekeeping in a major chain hotel, and know how demanding hotel expectations are for clean rooms and making the customer's experience excellent. That being said, this is the first time I did not leave housekeeping a tip. Our room appeared clean, however, there were little things that I noticed that I didn't go searching for. There was dust behind the TV on the dresser (flat panel TV, very noticeable); the cushioned chair and leather office chair were both worn, dirty and stained; the bathroom vent had clumps of dirt in it that kept falling onto the toilet, and there was a hair in my ice bucket (gag!). Housekeeping did not bother to sweep up our bathroom floor everyday, failed to replace towels, did not replace our dirty glasses, left our ironing board and iron out in the room (it was a requirement at the hotel I worked at to put those away if the customer left them out), and the carpet smelled of mildew. The pillows were half-sized pillows and gave me the impression that the hotel was being skimpy. Breakfast in the morning was okay for being free. The front desk staff was a little rough around the edges as far as their customer services skills go (which actually seemed to be the norm for every business in Greenville). When they were at the desk, they had their cell phones ringing and were texting or playing on their tablets. They never greeted us whenever we walked in or said anything when we left. We were in town visiting family and didn't spend at lot of time at the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I was surprised that the cable was in HD and there were lots of channels to choose from. I liked having the safe, refrigerator and microwave in the room (one of the reason I had chosen the hotel to begin with). I probably will not stay here again and opt to pay a little more money to stay at a different hotel.

Poor customer service. Too much hassle to enjoy.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
This is the second time I have tried this particular hotel. The first time they tried to charge me $200 saying that I had smoked in the room. I do not smoke and no one else in my family smokes. However, the housekeepers insisted they smelled smoke in the room. I only discovered this a week after my check out when I noticed the extra charge on my credit card bill. Seems like a scam to me. However, after calling the hotel manager, the issue was cleared up and the charge was removed. So I decided to give it another try next time I was in Greenville. That will be the last time I stay at this hotel. Customer service was poor and everything was just too much of a hassle. First, when I arrived, the clerk was sitting outside with her shoes off, talking on her cell phone off, smoking a cigarette. She greeted us with "If your're checking in, it's going to be at least half an hour-- our computers are down". No other assistance was offered. So even though everything was paid for in advance, she said she could not make us a key or give us a room until the computers were back up. Finally, when the computers were back up, she gave us room. But upon entering the room, there was a slight smell of urine. So I went back to the front desk to request a different room due to the smell. (Otherwise, I'm sure they would have charged me extra and said I had a pet in the room. Another way to scam you.) The desk clerk gave me another room, and it was much better. When it was time to check out, I got a bill under the door. It had my name on it , but a different address and showed a balance due. Concerned that they would try to charge me for the extra balance due, I took it to the front desk. After waiting for someone to finally come to help me, they assured me it was taken care of. My opinion - too much hassle. Nothing has been smooth with my experience here. Breakfast is average, beds are average. There are plenty of other hotel choices in Greenville.

decent hotel

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
pretty good hotel for the area. One thing was the terrible condition in which the pool and jacuzzi was in. There was a film of scum on the top of the pool and the foggy water indicates poor cleaning practices. The jacuzzi was not hot, the bubbles didn't work and the water stained my girlfriends bikini yellow. Besides that, the hotel room was clean and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Excellent value, clean and tidy hotel, great staff.

Good value for the money. Only weakness was the coffee. The coffee pacs in the room were weak and without flavor. Coffee at breakfast wasn't any better, nothing to wake up by. Had to drive to a cafe to get decent coffee. There was an excellent one nearby off of Red Bank Road.
