I think the rating given the hotel was way off

Pros: location
Cons: smell and bathrooms
Location was great, hotel had musty smell in room and especially in the halls. Bathroom was small and barely had enough room to close bathroom door when using.

Perfect First Hotel Experience

This is my first time booking a hotel and the experience was great ! Everything looks how it is in the pictures and the staff was wonderful. I never felt like a hotel could make me feel like I was at home but this one did. The sheets and bathroom were also clean. If you ever come to Pigeon Forge stay here.

Close to attractions..

The maids sit out on the stairwell all hours of the day and smoke cigarettes making it impossible to use said stairwells during the day. I'm sure people in the motel have breathing problems, asthma and to have to walk thru a cloud of smoke every single day just because your child is afraid of the elevator is to put it plainly just gross. Several days after getting ready my child and I would smell of nasty cigarettes when we shut the car doors and funny I don't even smoke so it was definitely not from me. This is a HUGE problem since they apparently throw you out of their motel for smoking in their rooms but allow this on every single stairwell in the motel. Also they must have a day care center in the motel since every single night the front desk had 2 to 3 small children running aroun behind it. Me and my family come to pigeon forge every single year and have stayed in several fine hotels in pigeon forge and Gatlinburg but Park Grove Inn was absolutely the worst one I have ever stayed in in my life. The staff was just down right rude and the head maid liked to walk around as if she was the owner and she was the leader of the smokers on the stairwell. My family and I left a day early and willNEVER return to the motel. There are way too many awesome choices in pigeon forge of hotels with indoor swimming pools, lazy rivers , and water slides to put up with the crap that goes on at Park Grove Inn so take my advice go ANYWHERE else than here it will be $$ well spent.

Park Grove review

Pros: Very nice and clean
Cons: the pillows and get some cots
Location: the location was convenient and close to outlet stores
We were pleased with everything except the pillows were uncomfortable. We also needed a cot and were told they didn't have any. The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean.

Good value.

Comfy bed. Breakfast all carbs with no protein. Needs eggs or at least yogurt. Room had no DVD player or coffee maker. Hair dryer needs updated model.

good stay

Pros: Size of rooms, indoor heated pool
Cons: Size of the refrigerators.
Rooms were very roomy, not a tiny room. Indoor pool and hot tub were great, my boys swam almost all day all three days. Nice balconies, but not private. The refrigerators are very small!

You get what you pay for...

Pros: Location. Some staff were real courteous and willing to offer advice about the area. Even though breakfast wasn't very appetizing, it never ran out.
Cons: The food, cleaning services, fix broken change machines, the beds.
Location: The location is very good, it is right next to a lot of pigeon forge attractions and has a strip mall within walking distance with movie theater.
When we arrived the lobby/reception area was decent. The staff at the reception desk greeted us and started the check-in process. Their computers were having some issues so this took a while. Upon first stepping into our two queen bed room, it appeared decent until we took a closer look. There were dirty diapers left in the room and the mini fridge smelled of mildew. The website said they had free HBO and free billiards, both of those claims were untrue. The indoor pool was so heavily chlorinated that it burned my eyes. We later found out that apparently some people had bad reactions to the "dirty" pool and so they chlorinated it to compensate. Breakfast is a joke, cereal, toast, bagels, gravy, biscuits, and waffles you can cook yourself. I was disappointed and found it hard to find anything appetizing. Our room did not get serviced, even after speaking to staff. The worst part was the beds, the beds were so stiff it felt like sleeping on bricks. We had very hard time falling asleep and after finally falling asleep woke up feeling like we had been beat up all night long. Bring quarters for vending machines, washer, dryer, and arcade room as the change machines were broken.
