If I could give this hotel NO stars I would. I urge you all to AVOID this place like the plague! The room was not cleaned, nothing was left out for us to use (soaps, shampoos, etc.) There was other people's hair in the sink and the shower. There were BUGS everywhere! Cockroaches, flies, dead and squished bugs in the bathroom. We flushed the toilet TWICE and it overflowed into the room (we did not put anything down it). The whole rental office smelled like marijuana, the staff was rude and uncaring. The room smelled horrendous. The carpeting was wet, who knows why? It was the most disgusting experience I have ever had and I have stayed at better Motel 6's before. I was not expecting a high end, luxurious stay, but I was expecting the room to at least be clean! After all this, we were told we would be receiving a refund and only got a very small portion of our money back....absolutely absurd. I would have preferred to sleep in my car. Not to mention the other guests staying there were loud and obnoxious late into the night and very early in the morning, letting their dogs run around off leash. The area is not that great, construction everywhere, roads are garbage...absolute worst part of Gatlinburg. Unsafe to walk in - be careful! Please do NOT waste your money on this place!

I was going to leave a semi-good review until events that transpired the day before we left which has changed my mind. I booked this hotel because it was less expensive and the pictures made it look nice and cozy. I was mistaken. other than the room being nothing like the photos, the walls being paper thin, the bed being extremely cheap and painful we had all our personal items touched and rearranged! We we were never told that housekeeping would come into the rooms, and we never had a door hanger to say 'Do not disturb" or anything. When we checked in, the unenthused front desk woman (who huffed at me when I asked her to repeat herself since I could not understand or hear her) never gave warning that housekeeping enters our rooms whenever. When I found our things moved and the bed made I stormed over to the office where she then told me "It is Motel 6 policy that housekeeping HAS to enter your room everyday" and that I "Should have asked for them to not come in when I checked in" I told her I have never stayed in a hotel/motel that does that and have always had the room hanger and even without it, housekeeping has never come in. I think this is a ridiculous rule and Motel 6 is lucky nothing in our room was missing. We felt extremely violated and unsafe and were so happy to leave the next day. I will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 again!

It was nothing special. If you need somewhere to stay for the weekend it’s ok. Pretty sure I saw a roach though
