It wasn't fancy but it got the job done. The house is walking distance to downtown Gainesville. The price was right for what you get although don't expect it to blow your mind. I would say if you are picky about the aesthetics of a house do not stay here. If you just need a place to stay for a few nights at a reasonable price then go for it.

Pretty rough
First impression wasn’t good. Grass a foot high, patio furniture not usable and soiled, a handicapped toilet seat next to the front door, and half of some sort knocked over on its side. Living area is nice, bedrooms good size, no towels on arrival, no toilet paper in the bathroom (found it on top of the refrigerator). Since leaked underneath so bucket on the floor. Cracked paint/plaster underneath wall unit A/C. No bedside lamps so you had to get out of bed to turn on a light. Not a property for families. View from front porch is dumpsters and the back of a warehouse. Sketchy folks wandering the street at all hours of the night. Couldn’t sleep So I packed up and left at 3am. Might be good for football weekends but not for four day business trip at the university.

Not what I expected from a VRBO listing.
Due to hotel pricing and property pictures, I knew this property was a little dated. However, I was not expecting the roach baits, dead and live roaches, roach droppings, cracked wall plaster, dated and rusted bathroom sink, clogged tub drain, window AC units that barely worked, leftover food in the refrigerator and freezer, pet hair on the furnishings, peeling paint, dirty counter tops/baseboards/various surfaces, beeping stove, extremely loose front door lock (definitely did not feel safe), and overall neglect of the property. I reached out to the owner, the evening of our stay, but I have yet to receive a response. If it were not for my sister, who was extremely exhausted from her chemo treatment, we would have driven back home. This was not how our family expected to celebrate my niece's graduation from UF. VRBO must verify the conditions of their listings.

Imagine where you stayed in your late teens and had no money. This is it. Neighborhood is a bit dodgy but we never felt unsafe. Walking distance to campus and a Publix grocery store. We stayed when all the students were gone for Winter break. My 14 year old boy's first visit to a US college campus. He's sold. Thanks Jake! Keep me on your A-list!

Best Place to stay
Jake was an awesome host ! The house had everything we needed and more, super easy to do the check inn, the place was clean. My family and I had a blast ! Very understanding and helpful. Left everything ready and wasn’t difficult at all to get into. Would come back again for sure ! Perfect for big families

Great for groups, walking distance to UF
We had a group of 5 people stay for a football weekend and found the place to be very spacious. Check in was easy, and the host was quick to communicate. The stadium and Midtown are only about 10-15 mins away walking.
