Old property. Damaged from Hurricane.

This hotel was severely damaged by hurricane Ian and is under construction. The entire 1st floor is uninhabitable and being worked on daily. The water to the hotel is turned off daily for a few hours. They have no controls in place for smoking and drinking. The first room they put us in was a smoking king room. Not what we booked. Then they put us in a double bed room with no TV or smoke detector. The door was not sealed properly and you can see light around it. Meaning bugs and whatever could get in. I did not sleep. Walking to the room we had to pass construction workers that were staying there that were sitting outside their rooms drinking and being loud. If it wasn’t for the fact that we didn’t get there till after midnight to check in we would have left and looked for other accommodations. The next day when I checked out, we were originally scheduled for 2 nights, they apologized but still charged us for the first night. The hotel should not be taking reservations. And the fact we booked thru Travelocity makes it worse. You should have better Controls in place for your customers. This makes me question if I should use your services going forward.

Check in was fast and very friendly. The front door handle was broken the desk chair was missing one of its wheels,the toilets in both our rooms were like rocking chairs and breakfast was a serious dissapointment we didn't even bother with. We would have told the front desk all of our issues but nobody was there for several minutes so we just left our keys.

The property and a bar as a wing the bar took up all the room for parking. People where selling drugs on the east side of motel. The manger tried to bump the rates when I first tried to check in. My room was so loud that it was hard to sleep. The manager rented my room out to another person and still charged for the room. The door on my room had been kick in several times recently and a the repair was not close to adequate. I am a frequent traveler so I stay in some motels that are not quite as nice. this was pretty bad.

When I arrived I inquired about checking in, and we were too early. What hit me though was the smell. It was musty, like moldy and I immediately felt uncomfortable. My wife has a lung condition and cannot get anywhere near mold. I talked to my wife and we decided to try to cancel the room and find something else. I called and they said I had to call travelocity. When I called you, you told me it had to go through the Inn. In the end, no one would let me cancel. With people who have conditions like severe allergies to mold, there should be a way to get out of the reservation when they arrive. I’m disappointed and won’t do that again.

Tiki bar attached and open until 2:00 am! Extremely loud...sketchy property. Definitely not for people with kids! Poor door locks, poor TV reception, non-working phone and room lights-no light bulbs. No help from front desk. Will never stay again and disappointed Travelocity would partner with this hotel.

Well let me start by saying that I knew it was not going to be a fancy motel. I knew I was choosing to stay at a low cost motel. However the disrepair over all was terrible. The room condition was terrible and the motel/cleaning service awful. The first night our toilet (on it's own) gurgled and made these weird noises. Suddenly the toilet erupted and water spewed out, all over the floor and seat. It did this 3 times that night. The next day I did tell the manager on duty and she had someone fix it. It didn't happen again. In the 5 nights we were there they did not clean our room once. They only changed our bedding and gave us fresh towels the 2 times I had to request from management. (WHAT THE HELL?) When the maid did come to change the sheets the 2nd time a little Hispanic boy around 10 years old came in to our room and asked us what we needed. He came in to our room and cleaned up the dirty towels. Even though they changed our sheets and gave us clean towels 2x, they never cleaned the bathroom sink, mopped or dusted. The natural mineral fountain stinks like sulfur. The tables and chairs around the area are all in disrepair. The vine growing on one of the gazebos had grown around chairs and the chairs couldn't be moved. I killed several cockroaches in the motel. The restaurant is not open. The Tiki bar is VERY loud and VERY busy. We were there on NYE and it was a major party. Some dumb ass decided to set fireworks off the roof of the empty restaurant.. To be continued. MLL
