Captiva Cottages are eight vacation cottages on landscaped grounds, right on the water facing Pine Island Sound. Relax among peaceful, natural beauty and enjoy the shared pool. The cottages are ground-level for easy access, and the shops, restaurants, and activities of the Captiva Village are about one minute’s walk.

These cottages are undoubtedly the best value on Captiva Island, offering an outstanding waterfront location and clean, comfortable interiors at a bargain price. They are perfect for extended-stay couples, naturalists, and larger families and groups (rent several cottages).

Smart TVs ( 50 inches or larger) are located in both the living room and bedroom of the cottage!

Captiva Cottages provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your day at the beach!

Parking is limited to one car. The dock is now available for use at $75 per night.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

The property was in a perfect spot to walk to everything on Andy Rosse, including the beach. We loved watching the sunrise right on property and walking down to the beach for the sunset. This was the perfect cabin that had everything we could need. We only wish we stayed longer!

Nice place but terrible smell
We were delayed in arriving due to very heavy rain, so arrived 4 minutes after 5pm. We didn’t know the location of our unit so were completely drenched trying to find it. When we did, the stench of raw sewer was overwhelming outside and permeated the entire unit. It was very strong and we called the office number (the only number we had) and no-one answered and the message said they were closed. We were hoping that we would be able to move. It was difficult to sleep due to the smell and first thing in the morning we called the office and left a message. It took two hours for someone to show-up and as soon as they did, they agreed to move us. We had to attend a wedding (my wife was in the wedding party) so at this point we didn’t have time to move. As they wanted to get someone into the unit early the next day to fix the problem, we had to move all of our stuff after the wedding - of course we didn’t get back until after midnight and had to deal with that which was not a good end to the night. It was inconvenient and not an pleasant experience at all. We were only there two nights and had to pack and in-pack twice. Although the units were clean, we saw a cockroach and I had one crawl across my foot in the first unit. Also, on a security note, there were several windows in each unit that were not closed all the way and locked shut. I’m sure this is a nice place when it’s dry, but unfortunately we did not have a good time. We expected a lot more for the amount paid. Certainly not worth the rate they are charging + fees etc. We won’t be back.

This was a very cute little cottage with easy access to everything. Only problem was the smell. Very strong sewer smell that was overwhelming. Very pervasive, got on our clothes and made our food taste funny.

Great location!!
We loved our stay here! Super cute place, very clean. They had towels and a hair dryer available. There is also a washer/dryer which was awesome. They have a keurig machine that does both the big coffee pot and just the k cups. The location was perfect! We were able to walk everywhere- the beach, shops, restaurants, and farmers market! My only complaint would be the smell of the cottage- it smelled like rotten fish/ poop. Apparently the property runs on a septic tank so I think that’s what we were smelling. But we will definitely come back for another visit!
