loved every detail

Pros: CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN VERY NICE AMENITIES LOVED THE SMALL TOUCHES
Cons: COULD NOT BE IMPROVED
Location: The beach was pristine and perfectly close. We also went to butterfly world nearby in rented car. It was a nice trip there.
this could not have been a better family vacation spot.... super clean, super nice, great service. WAY ABOVE AVERAGE.

Old Hotel. Terrible service. Expensive

Pros: The beach
Location: Very good location.
Too expensive for what they offer. It is an old Hotel. Is a smelly Hotel. Rooms are also smelly. Dirty pool. No pool maintenance. Very poor and very late room cleaning. They also ask you to pay $25 per day offering, for example, 2 bottles of water per day and half of the days I stayed, no water was issued. Half of the time, they didn´t provide me basic things like soap. I´m very surprised this is a Marriott. I thought Marriot brand was a high quality brand but I wasn´t in my experience. I also visited the bar-restaurant and I had to leave because no service was provided. Terrible!!!

Wonderful Staff!

The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. Want to give a special acknowlegement to Matt at the front desk. Room was clean and there were wonderful views from all over the hotel. Food was somewhat pricey but very good and with great service. Pool and beach were very clean (in fact all areas of the hotel were spotless). Fantastic trip!

This hotel is perfect for families!

Pros: pool and beach
Cons: expensive food
This is a wonderful hotel for kids! The pool was big and the beach was beautiful! The landscaping at this hotel was a 10. They had nice little perks like a lemonde stand set up near the pool for free drinks. A few times a day they would come out with big trays of cookies for everyone to have. The rooms were comfortable and a good size. The location was great. You can see the cruise ships coming in to port. The only con was that the food was expensive and drinks, but you do expect this at a nice hotel.

Great ocean views.

When we checked in we decided to upgrade to an ocean-view balcony. So glad we did. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep each night. sigh. Staff was very helpful - enjoyed the lounge in the evenings before heading out to dinner. Bar staff was very friendly and provided great dinner recommendations. The only drawback was the construction in the pool area. Was a bit loud and the restaurant part was pretty make-shift. All in all a great time and a great location.

An enjoyable pre-Christmas getaway!

Pros: clean beautiful rooms, ocean front location, no need to rent a car
Cons: breakfast buffet could be better
My husband and I were looking to get away for five days in December before the holidays. We decided to stay at the Harbor Beach Marriott because it seemed to offer a great beach-front location and easy access to Fort Lauderdale shopping and restaurants. Our stay was WONDERFUL! The staff is polite and friendly. The concierge gave us good ideas for eating and getting around (we chose not to rent a car) by water taxi, cab, and foot. We did not stay in an oceanfront room, but our room had a beautiful view of the city and the intracoastal waterway, including Port Everglades. The room was clean and spacious and nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with plush towels and amenities. The breakfast buffet was OK, a little pricey for the quality, so we only ate there twice. The dinner at Ocean was divine as were drinks at the bar. I look forward to returning for a longer stay next year.
