Grafton Lodge

Pros: I have to say that the hotel was quaint
Cons: OMGeee the "continental breakfast". On Saturday there were these prepackaged cooked waffles and instead of syrup there was honey. Nuff said.
Location: Lake Lure was awesome. There was the river walk, Chimney Rock, and Chimney Rock Village. There is the lake and lake activities as well.
When I read that I would have a "garden view" I thought there would be grass or something but my room faced the gravel in the driveway. There were trees but they were in the distance really. The bathroom was surprisingly large for the size of the room. I thought the bed was comfortable.

Quiet friendly spot

Location: Lake Lure is only minutes away. The boat tour is a must do. Also things to do are Chimney Rock park, Apple Orchards and wineries in Hendersonville.
I really enjoyed the fact that there were only a few people staying in this out of the way B&B. We met the nicest people at breakfast and had great conversations. The mountain view from the balcony was beautiful. Wish I would have had more time to enjoy it. Breakfast was wonderful and the one time I needed something my call was answered immediately.
