Sadly, we walked into the room and immediately out. The room and bathroom smelled. Because of the overall shabby look of the place, I peeled back the sheets and mattress cover. The mattress was visibly soiled. We left immediately.

When entering room lights were unplugged. After getting light discovered hvac unplugged too. While plugging in hvac I picked up trash from a former occupant. Mailed plugging everything in (more lights and refrigerator) plugs sparked several times. Had to put bath towel in front of front door because could see light coming through. Kept heat at 80 all night to keep room fairly warm. Sofa in nonsmoking room had cigarette burns. Tiles and caulking in bathroom missing or broken. Breakfast was big disappointment and didn’t even bother with it. Went elsewhere.

Hotel is dated, good for an over night stay. Breakfast choices are limited. You get what you pay for and they deliver.

I checked in and was not told that there was no hot water, when we went to our room we found no pillow cases on the pillows, I found a housekeeper and another man showed up with the pillow cases and he asked me if they told me there was no hot water, I told him no and ask when he expected it to be fixed and he told me first thing in the morning, this was a Sunday when we arrived. So I decided to stay and got up early to go to my appointment and came back from the appointment about 11 a.m. my key card wouldn't work so I went to the office, they fixed my card and I ask about the hot water and he said still no hot water and was told hopefully by 7p.m. I had booked two nights so that I would not have to drive over 4 hours home at night, I am a senior and I do not like to drive at night, but I feel I was forced to, so I came back from my afternoon appointment and packed up and came home. I was very disappointed in this stay, I have stayed at this Travel lodge before and it was fine but I will not stay again even though it is convenient. I feel the owner could have hired a plumber to come out and take care of the problem but chose not to...I would never recommend this motel...

Be advised of this hotel

We booked a one night stay at this place during a road trip to Florida. It seemed perfectly fine by the description, pictures and price online when we picked it. Upon arriving, though, we found it was not only in a questionable area (safety wise) but it was absolutely disgusting. The so-called lobby is nothing but a room with a desk filled with boxes of paper and trash everywhere. The photos you see of this and the actual rooms are not what you will find. The rooms had countless dead bugs everywhere, the walls and ceilings were literally falling apart, the microwave was disgusting as if it was never cleaned, the bed had very old, stained and torn sheets with hairs, the mattress was stained with a light burn mark, there were cobwebs everywhere and the furniture was so old it was a wonder it was still held together. It was apparent that the "non-smoking" room had been smoked in and they covered it up with deodorizer. Also, their "continental breakfast" is literally nothing but two choices of dried cereal you can get from a plastic dispenser in the check-in room. There were holes in the walls and the carpet was torn. I would never, ever recommend this hotel to anyone. You don't have to check out, so we packed up and left within half an hour and went to Manning, SC.
