the property listed below COMPLETELY mis - represented itself, then offered and in fact promised a full refund, then not only did NOT give a refund but also charged an extra $150 for no reason that we can see and with no warning, as well as the $225 they charged us. Meanwhile we also had to pay someone to reattach the bumper that their road took off … We spoke with the wife of the two person team and she said that her husband had already put the full refund through, which apparently was a huge lie. She also said that their site said very clearly that four wheel drive was needed at all times to get up to the cabin … No it does not say that - you look for yourselves … Now that I have found the place for the review it the lowest possible with these comments… and tomorrow I will be labeling both charges as fraud with my bank and asking them to deny payment or recover payments

Hello Miss Nancy and Miss Terra.You missed to read the description of the property and failed to read the email that we always send to our guests. That's okay.. live is busy for all of us. According to Travelocity reservation policies, we didn't have to issue you a credit but we did anyways. As we explained to you"It takes about 5-7 days for merchants and banks to process credits.We want to clarify that you don't need four wheel drive to visit the property. You ran into a tree while you were backing up and that's the reason you bumper fell off.

Hello there,If you had mentioned them to us, we could had been able to fix all those important details. We're always available. Just a call away. The silverware, dishes, etc are enough for the number of guests allowed in each cabin. The cabins are surrounded by nature. Things you don't see at the city are very common around here.

Nice small cabin

Pros: quiet
Cons: parking
Location: lineville gorge, lots of hiking
This was a good place, it's on the back side of a family owned horse farm. Cabins are new and clean, nice location in valle crusis. Only complaint I would even mention is the parking, hard to get in and out of. Pet "friendly" - that is you can have a pet for $50 extra

Mountain Retreat

Pros: comfortable and peaceful setting
Cons: more details on travelocity regarding actual unit/room/suite and information regarding the steep hill.
Location: Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Melanie's Food Fantasy, Mast Store in Valle Crucis, Wineries
We had a nice stay, but would recommend travelocity and the property owner clarify the acoomodation being offered, as the description, photo, and details did not match the suite/cabin we were assigned. I would also recommend that there be a notification of a very steep hill from the parking area to the unit be added to the travelocity area. It was not mentioned and we were traveling with my stepson who has a physical disability. However the cabin was beautiful, and very comfortable. The owners were extremely nice.
