Paradise in Costa Rica

Pros: The people, beach, restaurants, recreational opportunities, wildlife, weather.......actually it was all perfect!
Cons: Please change nothing
Location: We stayed close to the resort enjoying the beach and snorkeling each day. The excursions to the golf course and night sky viewing were nice.
The Four Seasons was perfect as a place for my husband and I to relax and enjoy our time together. The staff is exceptional! Every one of them goes above and beyond to make certain you are comfortable and having the best holiday imaginable. The property is immaculately maintained. The only hard part was leaving.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, free daily afternoon snacks in your room, free sunscreen at all pools
Cons: Nothing close
You will love this place!!! They will make you feel so welcome and special. We stayed in a suite away from the main part of the hotel. They have golf carts to take you to and from the main areas. The walk to the main part isn't bad as it is downhill and just takes a few minutes, the walk back...not so much! One of the golf cart drivers took me around on his cart to look for monkeys, he was so nice. They are everywhere, but you have to know where to look for them. The food is really good, the spa is beautiful and the grounds are so lush and tropical. There is free WiFi in the outdoor lobby area, it is like $40 (maybe?) for 3 days in the rooms. We loved the adult-only pool, we were there in Feb. 2011, so there were not many kids, but I bet it is different in the summer.

Beautiful Resort

A fantastic place to stay. The staff is very friendly and are extremely professional. The rooms are beautiful as well and the beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in . We only had a couple issues with room service while we were there. . My only disappointment was with their signature steakhouse restaurant at the golf course. The steak I ordered was seasoned heavily nearly to the point that I could not eat it. It was also very tough for a $* ribeye. In addition, we had asked for water to drink and made the mistake of not clarifying which type of water and were charged heavily for bottled water that we had not asked for. Our mistake though. The room service menu was excellent and I would highly recommend the food in any of the other restaurants . The beaches are fantastic and some of the activities available (free of charge) at the resort are fascinating and very fun. This location is remote and beautiful. The only drawback is that if you want to sample to "local" lifestyle and go into the closest town of Liberia, it is a long expensive cab ride into town. If you like seclusion, it is the place for you. My wife and I are looking forward to hopefully returning to this resort one day.

Wonderful Hotel

As I arrived at this hotel, my entire soul started to relax. The staff are amazing. Every detail is attended to. The staff actually take the time to learn what you want, and they cater to those needs. This is not a place for people who want constant nightlife and action. But it is a wonderful place for relaxtion, and families. There are numerous activities such as kayaking, cooking classes, and the spa! Two beaches add to the experience. One is a quiet beach that is perfect for older adults looking to get away from the noise of small children. The restaurants are fabulous with delicious fresh fish and other assorted dishes. The rooms are spacious with big comfortable beds, large soaking tubs, balconies with screens, and the sounds of the ocean. I can't wait to return.

The Vacation of a Life Time

We stayed at the Four Seasons December 1-6, 2010. It was an absolutely wonderful vacation. My wife tells me that she likes staying at the Four Seasons because the staff always make her feal like the most important person in the world. The Four Seasons in Costa Rica did that and more. This is a beautiful facility. The quality of service and the staff would be hard to beat. The activities were a great thrill. The food was memorable. It was all very good. I wish that I had the writing ability to tell you just how wonderful this resort is. We want to go back. It was that good. The location is perfect, but what makes this resort so special is the staff. There is a quality of serivce here that would be hard to duplicate. We strongly recommend Four Seasons Costa Rica. The only thing I can say is Wow!!! This is even more than we imagined when we planned our trip. It was worth every penny.

Nice hotel

The public areas of this all-inclusive hotel are lovely, however the individual rooms could be in any hotel anywhere in a major city - decor lacks any hint of where you are & the bathrooms definitely need updating - the public areas are poolside with views of the ocean and the expected oceanside open-air dining areas and bars are picturesque. Food was good (nothing outstanding) best dinner and lunches (if you don't want bar food etc# were at the Italian restaurant by the spa pool - which is a lovely quiet #no kids/loud music allowed# pool spot if that's what you prefer. My opinion? If you're going to Costa Rica and only stay here #& maybe just do the long daytrip to the volcano/rainforest# you're missing out on the real beautiful scenic Costa Rica - it could be any all-inclusive anywhere in the Caribbean/Central America - nice but ..... We spent the first half of our time @ the Arenal volcano #The Springs Resort# and then came here for some relaxing at the beach, which for us turned out to be a great plan. Along with other excursions at the rainforest we did the escorted SeaDoo tour offered at the hotel's beach - which was fun. FYI: we encountered insects #bites) at the beach not the rainforest !
