Friendly but not helpful
The hotel itself was great. The food was delicious (I highly recommend the kangaroo steak) and the drinks were good. The staff, while very friendly, were not very helpful. I’m sure they meant well but no one seemed to know the answers to any questions. Maybe it was a language issue but the questions were simple enough. One bit of advice was to not go to one watering hole we had heard About but to another one. I specifically said we can’t go off-roading and the guy said the road was fine. It was not. It was an off-road adventure to a waterhole that wasn’t even swimmable. Very disappointing.

Mixed Experience at Mercure Alice Springs Resort
My recent stay at Mercure Alice Springs Resort had its highs and lows. The room in building 2 was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space. However, the promised internet proved unreliable, which was a significant inconvenience as i work remotely. The standout feature was the welcoming and helpful staff, who were always ready to assist. Unfortunately, my room's proximity to the street led to early morning noise, attributed to aboriginal individuals. In summary, Mercure Alice Springs Resort offers a comfortable stay with excellent staff, but the inconsistent internet and street noise may impact some guests' enjoyment.
