We recently stayed at RIU- Palace resort and loved our room, service and pool. We were however disappointed with the food options available. Other than the breakfast the food was not very good, things that should be hot were cold. Also, the steak house option was the most difficult to access. We went three different nights and were told something different each night (its first come first serve, you need a reservations etc). Each time we went tables were not even filled up. When you pay for all-inclusive you are really hoping the food is worth the money. Other than this, the resort it self was lovely.

Cleanliness, safety, service and food are excellent. The rooms are a bit run down, especially the wall outlets that do not always hold American plugs. I also had a problem with one of the electric fuses that was switching off frequently and had to be switched back on several times a day. Otherwise my stay in RIU Palace was great, and I have very warm feelings for its stuff. I am planning to come there again.

I dont usually leave comments unless its from a bad experience, but we were pleasantly surprised with this resort. There were some areas inside of the rooms that were 'dated' but overall it was very nice. Very clean. The staff were hard workers. The food was excellent. The buffet had so many choices that we were never bored with the food. We only ate at Krystals and the steak restaurant and both were very good. Service was excellent. My husband and i and 3 adult kids were set up in 2 jr. Suites across from each other that shared a private hallway. They added a third bed for our third kid in the 2 full size bed suite (it was a twin but we arent complaining). The suites are a bice size. The only complaint i had was the fact that there were very few wash rags. I asked multiple times for wash rags and would get just one -- which the cleaning person would take upon cleaning and not replace. We didnt understand their issue with wash rags. I guess if thats the only complaint i had, i'll take it!

I've already commented on this hotel, one of the worst experiences we have come across in any leisure trip before. Don't believe any of the good reviews, this place is horrible.
