Very friendly staff. Hotel is older and it shows however they do their best to keep it nice.

The facilities were very nice. The interior hallways and the rooms however smelled of cigarette smoke. One room was so bad we asked to be changed to another room which was better but the order was evident in the hallway. Kind of smelled like someone was burning incense to hide the smell of cigarettes.

A great value and a most charming retreat

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This hotel was one of the least expensive hotels in the greater Lancaster area that offered a pool and suite accommodations. They are pardners with the Days Inn across the parking lot if it rains and you want an indoor pool with hot tub, but this one has a lovely covered patio area with a gas barbeque available to the guest to throw a shrimp on the BarB. Highly recommend it and will stay there again. It is also the most quiet hotel I have ever stayed in.

The room was quiet and the staff very friendly. The hotel is located close to the highway about a 15 minute drive to the center of the Amish country. Newer property with an adequate fitness room.

Nice place to stay

The room was lovely. The staff was friendly. This place did not do light housekeeping on week-ends and on week-days it only did it by request--but I really did not need to have the bed made or the towels changed. I could get clean towels just down the hall when I needed them. The setting was lovely--there was even a minature golf course--alas I had no time to play. My only complaint was that the pillows were a bit hard for me--but that is just a matter of personal taste.

all on your own

This was a nice hotel the only concern was that there is very little staff. in fact no staff after 11pm . The hotel is affiliated with the sleep inn up the street and sleep in staff covers the Mainstay as needed. On our weekend stay there were many people drinking in the pool and rather rowdy. this condition was helped along by the fact that there was no staff to deter it. If you are a business traveler this is probably a great choice on a week day but not the best for family travel. also no weekend maid service in this hotel and you have to supply yourself out of a supply closed in the hall. it was a clean hotel but didnt like teh feeling of being on our own.
