Beautiful hotel, restaurant, bar, exemplary servic

Pros: We liked everything at this hotel.
Cons: One waiter in the casual restaurant has a bad attitude and provides poor service.
Location: The location of the Steigenberger is close to the opera house and shopping in designer stores. Koenigsallee is a picturesque area of the city.
We totally enjoyed our stay at the Steigenberger which is located at the top of the Ko in Aldstadt, the most beautiful area of Dusseldorf. Upon entry we found a beautiful lobby with a gorgeous floral arrangement and a staff most willing to please. Our room was a delightful and comfortable retreat from a busy week. The windows and small balcony faced the frozen water in the park, the bed was very comfortable and the bath was very nicely finished and super clean. The lamps gave us a choice of good lighting. We enjoyed a bite to eat in the casual lounge and we also enjoyed the piano bar with Klaus as the friendly bartender. Also, the breakfast was worth the additional fee with so many offerings. I also must compliment Marco Restani, the Concierge, as he was so helpful with directing us to places of interest, restaurant reservations and train tickets to the Cathedral in Koln. Definitely a GREAT hotel.
