Delightful accommodation
We booked a one night stay at Hotel Destination 21 through Expedia for a one night stopover in Dusseldorf. It is a lovely, small accommodation, which provides a great alternative to the larger airport chain hotels. The location is only 5 minutes from the airport by taxi. The owner greeted us, and made an exceptional effort to be sure we were comfortable. He provided recommendations for dining, a map of the city, and specific directions to the subway, which is nearby. We had a lovely dinner in the Altstadt and returned within a couple of hours. I have never stayed in a hotel where the owner took so much personal pride and effort to make sure guests were comfortable. Free beverages were provided in the mimibar. The owner drove us to the airport himself for our early flight, after we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, with eggs made to order. Very delightful! Highly recommend!
