Nice and quiet location. We arrived before 7 in the morning and it was very nice of the hotel staff to offer as complimentary early morning refreshments.

Excellent hotel that was clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotel staff was very helpful. Conveniently located and a 20 - 30 minute walk to the Temple Bar area.

Great location for city center!

Great hotel. No fridge in the room was difficult, also the closing times of the pool on the weekend were too early. Had a great stay, just wish we could have enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi a little more.

Pretty Good Hotel

Nice enough, a bit of a distance from the things you would want to do and see in Dublin but still a 10 minute walk. Rooms were spacious.

4 Star stay, 3 star price

Pros: Good location, fast Freindley service.
Cons: N/A
Location: This hotel is slightly away from the center of the city, so it was quiet at night. Only a 10 minute walk to some great spots.
We arrived early, the hotel staff checked us and held our bags so we could tour Dublin. That night, we were given our key cards to a clean comfortable room. Could not have asked for more. Very happy.

Nice hotel close to the city center.

Pros: The Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Accommodate people with allergies.
Location: Walking distance to Temple Bar area, Trinity College- see the library, and downtown shopping. Take the hop on hop off bus to Guinness store.
Our overall stay was superb. One thing did stand is that they are not prepared for people with food and other type of allergies. On a couple of evenings when we would eat in the bar area, they did not have food items I could eat since I have serval food allergies. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. We would like to thank the breakfast staff for being so accommodating.

This hotel was very accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and check out late. Everyone was pleasant and friendly.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: Nothing close, hotel clerks must learn to give real directions
One criticism is that when asked a question about travel, directions touring Ireland, no one was really helpful. In museums asking where things are you are given very general directions, and signs are very incomplete. They lead you somewhere then stop and what you are looking for is not there. They gave such general information, even at the desk of the hotel, I found this to be a fact all over Ireland, not just at the hotel. Eg. When we were leaving to go home we wanted to catch the airlink to the airport which was just across the bridge at the convention center according to the brochure and the clerk at the hotel desk. However, 3 buses passed us and were pointing to somewhere, but we never could find the bus stop in front of the convention center and ended up taking a cab, or we would have missed the plane. I'm sure there was someplace we had to go other than the front of the convention center and the hotel people should know this and be able to direct us there, but they just smiled and said the busstop was right in front of the convention center, but it wasn't. Also, my daughter and her boyfriend paid 90 euro's at the tourism center for the bus to the cliffs of moher got there 20 minutes early. They were told to wait inside as the bus wasn't loading yet. There were 3 buses from different company's, and they waited inside the station as it was cold and raining assuming it would be announced when they were loading, and the bus took off without them. When they asked the clerk when will they be loading they were told the buses just took off. Nobody announced loading was happening and the clerk actually said the driver came and told him they were missing 2 people, but never even asked in the center if anyone was waiting for the tour bus, even though he asked them to wait inside when they first wanted to get on the bus. Can't comprehend such studpidity, and they weren't given their money back. They have to dispute it. Ireland is a wonderful country with many wonderful people, but they can be both accommodating in one way and totally misleading in other ways.

Christmas 2009

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights during the holidays in December. We found the hotel suited our needs. My children , both teenagers 15 & 17 enjoyed the health club. The staff were curteous and efficient. The rooms were clean, maid service efficient too. The breakfast buffet was just okay...the mass produced scrambled eggs were a turn off. The hotel location was just a little too far out, although we did enjoy walking 15min into city center...however would not walk in this area by myself .

Not too bad

I stayed at the Maldron Hotel while on a guided tour of Ireland. I found the hotel and staff very nice. The room was wonderful. It is a bit out of the way and had to take a taxi to Trinity College and Grafton Street but that was ok because I got to interact with the local taxi driver. There was lots of construction in the area but that didn't bother me one bit...Just work around mess...Nothing is perfect but I did enjoy my stay at this hotel.
