Great service , Great location , Great stay

I flew in from USA. Before I left I requested an early check in because of the length of travel time to get there and check in is not until 3. Of course , they cannot gaurentee . When I arrived , I was greeted by Rachel at the front desk. She was friendly and professional . She had told me she saw my request in my notes and that my room still was not ready . I requested high floor room . However , she had come up with a solution . She said she realized my day had been a long one and that she would give me a floor on the 4 th floor and then could switch to other room laterbon when ready . This was happy news to me ! I just wanted to lay down and power nap . I ended up just keeping the room seeing it was same type just lower floor. ROOM TIP: if you are used to hearing crickets or ocean waves where you currently sleep , request a room on back of hotel . I was in front and there IS city noise. The tram goes by right in front of hotel. It's not crazy loud . My house is on a busy street , so this noise really didn't affect me . Down in the bar area Karla, Nathania, and bar manager Valentine were all excellent in making sure I had what I needed . They were all very easy to speak to , friendly and professional ! Breakfast buffet was full of choices of hot and cold entrees . Location was great . Yiu can see Guinness from front of hotel and door to door about 15 min Jameson about 20-30. Grafton st 45 min walk temple st 30 min. Def great place !!

Great location

Right next to the River Liffey, this is the best experience you will get in Dublin for a reasonable price. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and you are within 2 miles of everything.

Ashling Hotel Dublin: Worth the Stay

Pros: I definitely felt secure with my stay, and both checking in, and out of the hotel were a breeze.
Cons: I would have liked the beds to be a bit larger, and longer as they were a bit of a tight squeeze for taller individuals.
Location: There is a museum nearby, as well as the Guinness storehouse, in addition to several public transit options within two-three blocks of the hotel.
This hotel is located within a very well lit area, and is quite close to a variety of things within Dublin; most noticeably the Guinness Storehouse which is located only a few blocks away. It was easy to travel to and from the airport by bus to just about two blocks from the hotel entrance. The area is very open in the surrounding area, and the hotel has a very decent amount of security present to safeguard those traveling; I had no intention of staying at a hostel as the lack of security can be quite daunting when traveling. The staff was pleasant, and welcoming, and the hotel offers a wide variety of services including dining, room service, car park, and luggage storage if you arrive prior to your check-in time. I was very pleased with my stay, and could not have asked for a better experience for my living arrangements.

Great hotel close to transportation

Close to transportation, eg, tram, Hop-on/Hoff-off bus. Close to pubs, eg Nancy Hands Pub. Very comfortable bedding, nice decor, attentive staff and fine restaurant in-house. Enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel, close to the airport

Nice hotel, close to the airport with a airport shuttle that allowed me to return my rental car earlier than expected. Rooms were comfortable, but require extension cords if you need to plug in any devices. Very few plugs and none are near the beds. Hotel policies very different from US; they close out your room payment immediately on checkin; which prevents you the ability to charge dinner to your room.

Some good, some bad

The room itself was adorable with a king size bed and sitting area. We liked having shower/tub combination in the bathroom. However, the toilet did not flush well and so we would go.to the lobby to use the bathroom. Those toilets also didn't flush well, and this sort of thing wears on a traveler. Some of the staff were.lovely, and someone were downright rude, particularly in the breakfast room. It was handy that the hotel was near the tram therefore easy to get downtown. Not sure where else we would have stayed though.

Beautiful Hotel and Close to the attractions

Pros: Friendly staff, cleanliness of rooms, phenomenal bar staff.
Cons: Just the very small parking garage
Location: There are trains and trams galore! Walking distance to the Guinness Museum and Jameson tour. shopping is a quick walk or ride to Trinity College
Not only were we pleasantly surprised by the ease of travel to the hotel it is smack dab in the heart of all the attractions. The hotel may be deceiving by having a bland paint job but this hotel is 5-star rating all the way. We were so warmly greeted by the hotel staff and checked in quickly. The room is much bigger than anticipated as we had two teenagers traveling with us and wanted to make sure we weren't crammed. We took advantage of the gorgeous restaurant and bar areas two nights straight. You can tell that the city comes to this hotel for a pint and conversation. Its walking distance from the train station to head out to the country or catch the tram right over to the shopping district. I couldn't say enough about how our room was always straightened and the staff was mindful of late sleepers! I will be returning for many more holidays to come and thank you for all the hotel did to make us feel welcome right down to calling me the minute my luggage arrived from being lost by the airline..cheers!
