Good hotel but rooms too small

We expected much larger rooms with more amenities. It was just too small including tiny bathroom. The main lobby was very nice and luxurious like a high end museum. The hotel resturant was the best part of the stay. The food was amazing and was given VIP treatment. The valet parking is $50 a day which adds up when you add the tip each time. This hotel is close to good local restaurants walking distance to gaslamp night life. The staff seem to be very accommodating from check in to check out.

Centrally located - easily accessible. No parking facility. Only valet services - but expensive though compared to public parking rates.

Historic, Modern, Luxury, Service - Just the Best

Amazing Hotel close to everything, Gas Lamp District, Little Italy, Shopping Mall, plenty of great restaurants and most important - easy access to the highways for business. You must enjoy the Restaurant/Lounge - All Class!

Can't recommend, very sterile and odd.

Pros: Beds, spacious room.
Cons: Staff could be friendlier and less patronising. Help with bags when I came in the door would've been nice. Make the lobby a happy place, not sad place
Location: Main street San Diego, excellent for transport and shops. Can walk to harbour.
Despite the heritage building, this hotel has no atmosphere. The lobby is dull and confusing and the staff were only barely helpful. It really isn't very attractive and I would not return. The room was huge and it smelt funny. There was zero outlook, other hotel room windows just a couple of metres straight across. The beds were VERY comfortable. Location is fabulous, centre of SD and easily accessible by buses, to/from airport etc.

We offer our Vieux Carre experience at the Lobby from Thursday to Saturday and we also provide live music at the Grant Grill featuring local jazz bands every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We hope you can visit us on a weekend on your next visit to experience our different offerings.
