Roughly 8pm after me and my other half had finished work we set off from Nottingham to Dover for our stay. Hotels.com says contact the property about check in, so we did, letting them know that we would arrive roughly 12.30am - 1am, which they agreed would be okay and if we need help to give them a ring on this number.
We arrived approximately at 12.45, to a door showing it was self check in which is not a problem. The problem was that it said on the door we would have received check in details, the pin and room number prior to arriving, either text or email, which after thorough checking emails, spam, deleted, texts and also hotels.com website messages, there was no sign of any contact. We rang the camera operated doorbell, rang the number I previously rang, the number on the sheet of paper on the check in door, the number above the door on the sign, and the number on the internet. All of these number were different, but proceeded to call all of them with no answer. We left a text also to help with getting a response. Therefore after no response at all at the hotel, we were left to our own devices to find a hotel - at which took us until 4am with unfortunately little help from hotels.com. Sadly, we have still not heard from the hotel directly with any kind of apology which I find quite rude in itself, but if you do book this hotel - check the day before you arrive that you have the details for the room, and you may not get in!
