While easy to find and unique this is an old resort with its own peculiar odors. The accommodations were also dated and seemed more focused on the “night-time scene”. We had no towels or toiletries upon late check in and it took multiple hours and requests to get that remedied. Go with a newer chain hotel for a nicer stay!

I never made it to my Wilkes-Barre destination. Am Airlines delayed in Fort Myers causing me to miss my connection to Wilkes-Barre Stood in line at AA Cust Serv for 2 1/2 hrs to receive nothing but a "tough luck" and a $12 food voucher. Will never fly American again.

Our family had a wonderful time at this hotel. I was particularly impressed with the staff! Even though (as is currently the case at every hotel and restaurant) they were understaffed and all the employees appeared quite young, they ALL were very courteous and professional. This was equally true for the receptionist, the restaurant workers, and the cleaning personnel. During our stay we witnessed quite a few interactions between guests who were neither kind, nor patient with the staff, while all the staff I saw remained very professional and positive. This is hard to find these days!!! Moreover, this is a reasonably priced hotel. The outside of the hotel appearance does not do it justice. Yes, the hotel decor is dated. However, it is well maintained, clean, and functional. We loved the layout of the floors inside the hotel. The floors were spread out across the property and connected by a few stairs each. It was nice that the restaurants and bar could be reached without having to go outside. They did a really nice job integrating beautiful waterfall and river views throughout the property (from the restaurants, bar, pool). The rooms were not particularly large, but they were good for the 4 of us and our dog. The bathrooms were updated and very clean. Our room led directly to the lovely inner courtyard, which was beautifully landscaped and had a nice forest feel to it. It was perfect for walking our dog. We would definitely come again.

Door lock did not work at check in, repaired promptly, dead latch would not work, not fixed. Toilet would run after every flush unless reach in tank n adjust flapper

The hotel really needs to be updated- the last time I stayed here was the early 2000s. It needed an update at that time, and nothing has changed. The lamps on the night stand don’t allow you to plug in your phone (in desperate need of outlets in the room), the bathroom was terrible (bath fitter with caulk coming up). The area has many newer hotels that are nicer and cheaper. And the hallways smell like chlorine!
