Positives and negatives. Excellent position, Teignmouth worth spending some time in and easily walkable. Staff excellent, good value stay, meal in restaurant quite good and breakfast excellent. However, lots of road noise in room all day and night and no double glazing. A breeze coming in around the window blew the blind. Room was next to stairs and lots of noise from other guests going up and down. Ask for room in better position.

Superb location, beautiful gardens great breakfast
Stayed here previously and was much cheaper 2nd time round and better value. Location superb, gardens stunning. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Quirky rooms and hotel, clean. Only downside is its noisy because it has original doors and windows. But wouldn't stop me booking again. I look forward to my next visit.

Okay hotel Positives- room spacious and clean Easy to find, free parking and secure, nice location, friendly staff. Nice coffee at breakfast. Improvements - breakfast was not great, no menu, lots of food run out, sausages and bacon poor quality. One guest handled all the bread and then put it back, no tongs to prevent other people handling food. Room was by the busy main road so difficulty sleeping, also had a street lamp directly opposite the window with no black out curtains, so had a light shining all night. Beds adequate but could be bigger singles with the size of the room, average comfort level. No swimming pool facility. Overall stay was okay, I probably wouldn’t book again , with some improvements it could be much better.

Lift is only just operational very very slow, breakfast is OK despite being there as it opened cooked foods are warm at best. Road noise is atrocious People walking around makes the whole room creak so awoke at 430am due to people vacating. Initial room stank of sewers, does no one check them prior to a guest going in?
