    "Amazing Vacation!"
My husband and I have traveled to some beautiful places all around the world, but our stays at Live Aqua top all other travel experiences. From the moment we arrived on May 15, 2016, for our third anniversary, to the second we left on May 21, 2016 everything was outstanding. This was our second visit to Live Aqua and I was expecting a wonderful experience based on our previous one, however, they out did themselves. We booked an oceanfront room just like we did on our previous stay, but upon arrival we decided to upgrade to a suite for $100 extra per night and we are so glad we did. Of course we had a beautiful room with an amazing oceanfront view, two balconies, two bathrooms, living room, Aqua club access, and a daily cabana that came with a 20 minute foot massage free...everyday! The "entire staff" was incredible; I wish we could remember all their names. Definitely 5 star service! Donny, whom we met on our first day at the Sea Corner, provided excellent service and went above and beyond during our entire stay to make sure our every wish was taken care of. He really was a tremendous blessing all week long! Also, we wanted for nothing while we lounged around the pools all day and had drinks at the pool bar by the incredible Alexis. In addition, Monica "Mony" provided all the extra touches that we never expected like candles and rose petals throughout our room after we returned from our romantic anniversary dinner on the beach. So, to sum it all up... fantastic staff (every

"Excellence Riviera Cancun is Excellent! "
This was our first time going to an all-inclusive resort! I was not expecting the service, entertainment & food to be as spectacular as it was! This resort is way beyond what dreams are made of! We were there for four full days and had a travel day on each side of those four days...we could've stayed much longer! The shows each night were so much fun, the food & drinks were 5 stars, and the "royal treatment" that each staff member gives to their guests is wonderful! This resort will come very highly recommended to anyone who asks about our trip & we will be back to visit again! Fabulous resort!

    "Peaceful Resort "
What stood out most at The Royal Hideaway is the kindness of staff. They truly couldn't do enough to please their guests. Anything you needed, they were right there to assist you, and with great pleasure. Hotel is small compared to most resorts nearby. And being that it's adults only, things were pretty peaceful during the day & at night. They have several restaurants; two offer breakfast, one is buffet style, the other you order off the menu. All restaurants require dinner reservations & none offer buffet style dining. I found this to be somewhat of a inconvenience. In addition, there is a formal dinner dress code too. Personal prefrence, but when I'm vacationing I prefer to be relaxed & not have to operate on a set schedule or worry about taking fancy outfits-I do plenty of that at home. Food, in my opinion was just okay. The restaurants are beautiful & presentation of meals can be compared to reputable chief's in US. Improvement however is needed in regards to taste & freshness. Mostly greens, appeared to not have been of the best quality. I suspect vegetables & fruits are frozen & by the time they are served, appearance is lacking...The beach is phenomenal, just gorgeous! Very wide, white, soft sand+crystal clear warm water. They provide canopy's to protect you from the sun which is a must for those wanting to hang out on the beach. Resort is lacking nightlife & although they did have music on selected days! but all shows end @ 10pm, so you have no options after that.....

    "DOSE OF REALITY"
Just returned from our 2nd trip to Cabo and 2nd stay at Riu Palace. Beautiful facility/property, extremely friendly staff. Every single staff member will greet you with an "Hola" and a smile. Clean facility. There is an army of ladies, constantly sweeping/mopping the common areas. Food: the buffet is large enough...and diverse enough....no shortage of food. Just remember....it's a buffet. The facility is a preparing a large amount of food, for a large number of people, in a short amount of time. Keep that in mind, and you shouldn't be disappointed.....but I also wouldn't plan on being impressed. Restaurants: I wasn't impressed with them our first visit, so we didn't have high expectations this visit. They don't accept reservations, but we were turned away at the steak restaurant b/c they had too many people in line ahead of us (steak/lobster night). Tried the Mexican place....it was average to below ave. You're WAY better off going into town for authentic Mexican food/experience. A short taxi ride in to town costs $16. We ate a fantastic meal at The Office on the Beach. It was a little over priced, but WAY better than anything on the property Conclusion: this facility (and all of Cabo) took a pounding a couple of years ago from a hurricane. That being said, maintenance & repair are WAY low on the priority list....and the sad reality is that this is 3/5...maybe 3.5/5 star facility because of it. Probably won't be back...will look for a new venue next trip
