Old and dated, but price was right

Apparently they are going to be starting a renovation, which is appropriate. Definitely dated, but not uncomfortable. For the price and convenience to downtown, I would stay there again. It was clean and not noisy. Breakfast was reasonable, and internet worked fine.

Dirty Sheets

Our first impression was great until it was time to go to bed the night we checked in. I pulled the covers back to get in the bed and the sheets were dirty with hair and dirt. I called the front desk to tell them. They sent up someone 30 mins later, that handed me the sheets that did not fit my bed and walked away. I had to clean my on own bed. I could not get another room this weekend because they were soldout due to the Mary Kay convention. No one offered to compensate! Nope no one. Dirty Sheets

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bathrooms smelled of old urine.
Location: Downtown is full of strange people, there was a prostitute in the hotel during breakfast, getting into the food, hotel staff did nothing.
Rooms were freezing, I switched rooms because the heater was not working. The new room had no heat also, Hotel staff brought in a space heater, big enough to heat a small closet, I had to call three times to get someone to bring in the heater.

Very conveniently located to downtown Denver

Pros: The room was spacious albeit 'warn'
Cons: It could use some maintenance (broken curtain fixtures, missing shower curtain and bath mat). It's just a bit 'warn'
Location: Centrally located to downtown and all the amenities in that immediate vicinity.
I had a last-minute change to my stay needs and luckily one staff member offered help in how best to accomplish my change. My 'stay' experience could have been much worse and disappointing without that initial help (which the other staffer that was actually checking me in was not willing to offer...)

Sleep there only

Location: Good calzone place down the street, Irish pub across the street is fantastic. Izu sushi a few blocks away is delicious
Older hotel, shower knobs don't do what they say they do (hot turns to cold, cold turns hot, temperature is constantly changing no matter what.) sheets were stained. They told us they had a shuttle to take us to most attractions downtown when we requested one the next day the lady said they don't shuttle people anymore.... Even though clearly the next day there was a shuttle in the parking lot. Is fine for just sleeping there but not really worth the money.

disappointed with stay but staff were excellent!

The staff at the ramada are professional and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they work around the guests. The free minibus ride within a 3 mile radius is excellent and the staff were very accommodating with our requirements. The hotel advises that it is undergoing renovation for completion in 2017. This is badly needed. The rooms and facilities were in need of an update. The a/c in our room was about adequate but very noisy. The beds were soft, some sheets had the odd small hole and the bathrooms in desperate need of an overhaul. The carpet was very tired throughout and there was a generally damp smell. The pool and jacquzzi were ok but pool was very small and the jacquzzi didn't seem to work. Also they didn't open until 10am so an early morning dip was not possible. Finally breakfast was offered free as an extra and coupons were used daily to claim the meal, managed by a delightful lady. This was an added bonus as we had not expected this. However it was disappointing to have plastic cutlery, plates and bowls. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The ramada needs to sharpen it's act and make sure the renovations for 2017 completion make a significant improvement.

Dingy, rundown, dirty, depressing

Pros: Convenience to downtown.
Cons: Serious cleaning, major Renovation, staff.
Location: Easy access to downtown (20 minute walk). On very busy street in only "medium" neighborhood. I would not have gone out at night. Restaurants nearby.
I have seen this in other Ramadas - they wait way too long to do a renovation (there were in fact signs up all over announcing the coming renovation). And while they are waiting, they do little deep cleaning or repairs. All aspects of the hotel were old, beat-up, and grimy. Walls, doors, elevators have huge ware and tare showing. Carpet in halls and rooms are filthy - halls much worse than rooms. I was uncomfortable taking my shoes off in my room. Bathroom was not bad, and beds seemed fine. Windows were falling apart, and AC worked about 50%. No fridge, no microwave, coffee machine was from the '80s (housekeeping did not refill coffee). Three if us in the room - one bottle of shampoo. You get the idea - they were just running on empty. Would not reccomend to any family or professional. If you want a (relatively) cheap bed and have no other expectations, then this might be the place for you. Did I mention the breakfast? Room information mentioned two levels of pay buffet. No, just a dark room with cereal and waffle machine. Staff seemed pretty down. Don't think I saw one smile.

Worn Down Hotel

Cons: All of the above.
Location: Check above comments.
The wall paper was starting to peal from the walls in our room The toilet wobbled when sat upon. The vanity area light was extremely dim. The bar and dinning room lighting was very dim and uninviting. The bath walls were made from what looked like a form of formica. Very tacky! The hotel was in a rundown section of town. It was not a place where one can feel safe when walk around the block in the evening.
