My husband and I were incredibly impressed with Smugglers Cove Inn. We stayed three nights and will stay again! I have been recommending this place to everyone since staying there. The views are incredible of the bay in front of the Inn. They have their own beach and dock. You can take the kayaks or other non motorized boats out. We used them every day. At high tide, we saw a pod of dolphins feeding all around us, seals and many shore birds . At low tide, we saw many seals resting on the rock outcroppings. The pool was in the middle of the property outside. It was warm and you had panoramic views of the property and bay. There was a poolside, air stream that housed all the boating gear plus could serve you any food or drink poolside. The room seemed brand new and everything was spotless. The free breakfast was exceptional as were all the staff. We had a fruit and yogurt parfait with granola, a muffin, a filled pastry and a fresh fruit cup. Everyday the fruits, muffins and pastry were a bit different. There were additional items you could order for an additional fee. This place may be under new ownership or management, not sure about that but they were renovating everything inside and out. It impressed us and we loved our stay, completely.

What a beautiful location. The room was all redone. New paint, new furniture, new bedding. Towels were so soft. Restaurant was so cute and polite manager.The pool furniture was real nice and the 60's and 70' music playing at the pool was just awesome. Bed was a little hard but everything else was extremely comfortable. Would return tomorrow if I could.

Love the location. Has a bunch of potential. Limited on food choices, drinks. Staff complaining to guests about how overwhelmed they are was a turn off.

It is an older building and it shows its age! but the views are fantastic, staff was very nice, bed was comfortable and food was good. Also it is close enough to Boothbay to go shopping and have dinner but away from the crowds and traffic. Restaurant at the hotel was good.
