Room was clean & comfortable. Hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The TV didn't work the first night and the microwave didn't work either, but it was a nice experience overall.

Uninformed staff

I didn't expect the ritz but I didn't expect the kind of poor service that you see on TV. From asking for clean towels to needing to use the hotel room phone the staff was incompetent and had no idea how to help me. Something was wrong with my cell phone so I needed to use the room phone to make a local call and it wouldn't connect. I called the front desk and they told me "....every other phone is fine. If you need to make a call use your personal phone....".

More than expected for the price!

Upon reading the other reviews, I wasn't particularly looking forward to my stay, but it was cheap. I found the staff to be efficient, and most helpful. My girlfriend and I needed to print tickets for Medieval Times, and with no available printer, the desk clerk happily accommodated for no charge. There were a couple of leaves in the pool, but that's alright with me since there was never anyone else in it, allowing for a romantic swim, just the two of us. Can't speak for the cable, since we used a laptop with a cable to watch things on netflix, which worked well, but the tv was a decent 32" flat screen. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Texas! No idea why there are such poor reviews from others. Perhaps the writers were rich snobs who're used to having personal butlers and helicopter transport! :-P
