Great location to downtown Blowing Rock! Check-in was easy and everything was within CDC guidelines for COVID. The rooms are a bit outdated, but it’s charming. Would definitely stay again.

Walls were very thin and mattress was not the best but overall we liked it and would stay there again.

There are no outlets in the room. If you use a CPAP machine, you have to pull out the mattress as the bed is bolted to the wall and the outlet is covered by a metal box. There was a power strip under the bed. Had to wedge the strip up between the bed and the wall to plug in CPAP. Only one bedside light can be plugged in so the other will not work. Small window air conditioner which froze up. Room was hot. Ceiling fan will only work with the lights on. You can cut the ceiling fan light off but it is also wired to the light outside of the bathroom which cannot be cut off to run the fan only. Informed the office staff about the AC unit upon check out and did not seem concerned or apologetic at all. Only positive is that it is convenient to downtown Blowing Rock. Bathroom was the only upgrade in the room. However, no bathroom trashcan. There was a mirror in the bathroom over the sink, but no mirror in the room itself. Was not decorated nicely at all. Silk arrangements on top of the TV cabinet were old and dusty. Telephone in on top of the TV cabinet and not beside of the bed. Short persons have difficult reaching phone. All windows were unlocked when I entered the room. I assume the people before me had to open the windows due to the AC situation. Would not recommend this hotel for the price they charge.

The good news is that we have three different inns that cater to different needs, and that we will definitely be able to accommodate your needs the next time you stay with us!

Don't.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Our room was small, dark, and cold - the heat is a weird wall unit that either cooks you or you freeze when it kicks off. Just looks run down. I spent the first 10 minutes upon our arrival apologizing to my boyfriend for having picked it and assuring him it looked much better in the photographs.
