The dining options were terrible. The restaurants on site are “all booked” 9 days in advance, but you cannot reserve them until you have a room number. This left us stuck with the same buffet for every meal, and most days food was cold and dried out. We did get into 2 restaurants late at night, Portifino, and Lapreza. Portifino was good food and nice atmosphere. Lapreze was disgusting food, smoke filled restaurant, and no breeze. We ended up leaving early because my son couldn’t breath. Pools get really loud throughout the day with multiple speakers playing. No areas to relax and unwind in a quiet environment. The arcade stunk like raw sewage. Stay away from the Dolin Dive center for excursions. We booked a Catalina island tour and snorkeling. They placed us on a boat with scuba divers. (I am an experienced diver) and the snorkelers spent the day waiting on the scuba divers. Scuba diving was only in like 20 ft of water which is good because they taught the participants how to dive in a 5 ft deep pool, not safe. I witnessed someone testing out on becoming a “master diver”….my test out for becoming an open water diver was more intense. We also booked fishing with dolin dive company and we drove around on the boat for 4 hours, nothing was said to us and we caught no fish. The one bite we got they did not let us touch the poles. The beach and the grounds were beautiful. Will never return. All they care about is their time share residents. No staff spoke English so very confusing

Food was good, but always the same in the buffet. Cats walking around dining room and buffet. Internet kept dropping. Everything is on an app: restaurant menu, activities, etc. nothing printed. Went as a group of 6, 2 in each room. Something was wrong about every day. Safe not working, cards to get in not working. Even water and electricity had days of not working. Cockroaches in rooms. The beach was congested and hard to find chairs. Venders coming to beach area and annoying, wanting to sell their products or take pictures. Staff in restaurants and buffet attentive and friendly. Always manicuring the trees, grass, leaves. Very pretty grounds.

I love the service for the most part, only here and there you would find an employee who had a bit of an attitude. The rest of the staff was truly amazing. Biggest complaint is that the bathroom had a very negative strong smell that always came from the bathroom and nothing was done to fix it or accommodate us better. The TV did not work during the whole time there either. It’s unfortunate because the place is simply amazing and the staff is great but these problems mattered a lot during our stay.
