The beach front is good. Breakfast is good. Lunch and Dinner is good. Bar is good. The pool is small along with the jacuzzi. The bedroom is decent. The safe was not working. No refrigerators. No telephone to call the main desk. Outside night clubs, if you are not careful, they can overcharge the drinks/liquor bottle. Taxi drivers will overcharge you if you are a tourist. We asked for a night club that we check in google and the taxi took us there, I am almost sure he knew the place was closed 4ever and we had to return in the same taxi $100 Other than that, it was a good 3 days experience.

The problem was, I was put all the way on the top floor and there was no way to get up there besides walking. I was extremely out of breath. The place was okay thank goodness we were barely there.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years and generally speaking; I like it. It’s convenient, authentic and right across the road from Starbucks, the beach and hip strip. However, my most recent trip was not the best and I noticed a few more things about the hotel that I perhaps overlooked on other stays…two things stand out the most, the first being the ridiculously cold showers. Cold showers day and night no matter how many times I asked the front desk for help I was unable to get a warm shower nor could the rest of my travelling party who stayed in other rooms. This really needs to be worked on. There is clearly a water system issue, maybe they use solar panels but this is definitely not efficient in a hotel of this size! Secondly the hotel rooms are not cleaned properly and are actually quite filthy in places, dirt in the corners, chipped paint on the bathroom surfaces and marks on the walls. I really do like Deja, but I think the hotel is in need of serious renovations and maybe even new cleaners. I would possible stay again for the convenience and location however the idea of cold showers every day does not entice me at all!

The Internet sure makes this place look like much nicer than it is. Food is limited and the same thing every day. What food options that are available are mediocre and bland. Drinks are small and inconsistent, so is the grill and coffee station. Some of the staff were very rude. No towels for the beach. No kids corner No extra restaurant that is posted on the website. (reservation only) Unhappy staff. Felt very unsafe on the hip strip. Options were limited to do things on the property. Very nice beach across the street. But only open til 530pm.

I was quite dissatisfied with my recent hotel experience. Despite booking and paying extra for a double room, I was initially given a king room. When I raised this issue with the front desk, the staff member insisted that both room types were priced the same, a claim I knew to be incorrect. After some discussion, I was only able to move to the correct room type the following day. Additionally, despite my request for some compensation for the inconvenience, I never received a response. On a positive note, the dining room staff were exceptionally friendly, and the hotel's location opposite a beach was a highlight. However, considering my overall experience, I'm hesitant to return to this hotel.
