Just OK

Very noisy at night. Sounds like a frat party much of the night. Bed was very very soft. Prefer something much firmer. Will probably find another place next time we are in town.

Perfect location + menu catered to Arnold crowd!

Pros: I love that their menu changed to suit the wants & needs of those in town for the Arnold Sports Festival.
Cons: Our room was on the wall across from an elevator. It was quite distracting, especially when trying to go to sleep.
Location: A couple great spots downtown and didn't have one bad thing to eat or drink. Nada for mexican, 16-bit for some arcade games and awesome drinks, etc.
All staff in the hotel were pleasantly mannered and helpful. Good location, but we did use Uber and shuttles (when available) because of cold weather.

Nice room, comfy bed, iffy parking.

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Noisy
This hotel is in a lovely historic building with a good location. The Southern Theater is right next door and if you are going to a concert you don't even have to go outside! Plenty to do within walking distance and it's a short bus ride to north High Street or German Village. I've stayed at this hotel twice. I booked a deluxe room the first time and it was a nice size with a decent view of the city street. For the second visit I booked a regular room, which turned out to be small (think NYC hotel room small) with a view of the air handler. The small room was OK for an overnight stay but could get claustrophobic over time. This hotel gets a lot of wedding/party traffic and during both of my visits the lobby was crowded and chaotic due to events. Nice for people watching, but if your room is over the ballroom you'll want some earplugs. The rooms have the usual Westin accoutrements: good mattress, nice shower/fixtures, etc. My only major complaint about this hotel is the completely bogus parking situation. $20/night to park in Columbus??? Park in the garage across the street (the one one with the big sign that says "Courthouse Parking"). The garage is $12/night and you won't have to wait on the valet or scrape snow in the morning.

was a very welcome place to stay as I drove across country and needed a proper hotel to rest i

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
great place in downtown Columbus in a great old building with a new renovation that was the best of all worlds. So much better than the joints I'd been staying at along the drive East.

Not up to Westin quality

Cons: No free Internet, very small rooms, charge for parking
Despite the lovely photos on the website, this Westin was a bit of a disappointment. It is located in a Victorian landmark building -- and you certainly get some historical ideas about space and proportions. The rooms are quite small, but they are filled with strangely large pieces of furniture. We had a junior suite with a queen bed. You basically had to squeeze between the coffee table and the TV to get to the front door in the "living area" part of the suite. The bathroom was also very small and there was no bathtub, so no way to give the kids a bath. We expected historical charm, but got crammed discomfort instead. Also, internet access was not free and parking overnight was an extra $20/night, despite signs advertising $5/day parking for non-hotel guests. On the plus side, the hotel is located right in downtown Columbus and the room service breakfast we ordered was wonderful. Staff were friendly and professional.

Classy hotel

Love this hotel - great older building, beautifully updated. I plan to go back. Steps away from Columbus's German Village and downtown.
