The hotel was very dirty, room was ice cold, smoke detector was hanging from the wall, vent in bathroom was out of the wall and the fold out couch was awful

Pros and Cons
For the price, it was acceptable. Especially with the perk of having hot breakfast and a large TV in the room. The elevator needs immediate attention, however. I have no idea how it’s passed inspections. I also was a bit annoyed when I asked what end our room was on… and then asked if there was an entrance down there, the front desk lady said “yes”… but when we got down there, hands full of luggage while it was rainy and cold, we find out the key reader doesn’t work. After we walked all the way down to the main entrance and I said something about it, I was told “yeah… you can’t enter but you can exit from it.” 🙄 I also didn’t enjoy the permanent night light in the room that can’t be turned off, but maybe some people who don’t like it completely dark when sleeping will think it’s a cool feature. Overall, it was okay for the price, but I probably wouldn’t stay again while traveling.

The rooms were pretty good although the hair dryer in mine was ridiculous. I had to hold the button on the base down with my elbow to dry my hair. A standard hair dryer would be better than a base that is not hanging. No water pressure even after adjusting the settings on the shower head. Towels were plentiful and good. Lobby area was freezing cold, staff wearing coats, breakfast area cold making eggs and sausage cold as well.

Will Never Stay Here Again
The room itself was decent in general for cleanliness, but cords for appliances were sticky and we had to plug everything in ourselves. The window of our room was not insulated at all and bugs were all over the windsill; our heater (which was right below the window) barely worked because our room was freezing no matter what temperature we put our thermostat at. Our bathroom situation was also not very good, the shower water had little to no pressure and was also lukewarm at best for a couple seconds and then went back to cold water. Breakfast was free for our visit, but we only had it once in our 3 night stay because the food and coffee were not the best and the dining area downstairs was also freezing cold. When your own employee, who's keeping the food stocked is wearing a winter coat, you just know something isn't right. We tried to talk to a couple employees up front at the desk a few times about our room being freezing, but either time we were basically told we were "crazy" because "the furnances are new so of course they work". This was also after she told us that the furnances had buttons on them to control them, but when I kindly explained to her that "no our rooms furnance is older because it has places where knobs are supposed to be but those are torn off completely, and our thermostat doesn't turn on" she decided to argue with me since she knew best apparently. Overall the entire stay here was no where near worth the money we had to spend to stay here.
