Joe, thank you for your feedback and acknowledging our location in the heart of downtown Des Moines. In addition, to our valet parking at the hotel, we are within 1 block of 2 parking ramps as well as meters on the streets surrounding the hotel. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future!

The staff were able to have our room changed to 2 queen beds. Much better sleeping. The 11th floor was cleaner with a ice machine that worked. Staff were GREAT both days. Breakfast was great!!

Despite advertising Covid cleanliness, when we arrived we found clothing in our room from a p[revious guest, the backroom air intake was caked in dust and dirt, and the door and counter trim had dirt on them. It was also a very noisy room, both due to a cheap and noisy in-room fridge and be being able to hear any noise in the hall. Very disappointed this carries the Marriott label.

Pool was closed. No bathtubs in bathroom. Small bathroom. Parking is not great. Valet is expensive, but fortunately there is an affordable public ramp not far away. Lots of noisy traffic going by all the time -- Harleys, pickup trucks, people racing each other. Keycard system in elevator and at doors was somewhat hard to use. When it would work, the lights would flash green and red at the same time. Doesn't make sense. Lots of people not wearing masks in spite of the posted requirement.
