We really enjoyed the walkability of the location. It was close to local shops, landmarks, dining, etc. It’s also super close to the highway, which makes travel easy. The suite also had a great in room jacuzzi tub! But the customer service was awful! At check-in the attendant was on their phone the entire time and simply handed us a room key. No other information was provided about our room, the hotel, the area, etc. Not even our room number. Then we asked about luggage carts and none where to be found and the ones available had wheels falling off. We had friends get rooms in the same hotel, hoping to hang out after the wedding, but the hotel bar was closed at 8pm on Saturday when we arrived. On Sunday we also had to ask about check-out which is at 11am, to find that the little cafe wasn’t open either. Then when we came back from getting breakfast at a local cafe room service was breaking down our room while our stuff was still in it and we hadn’t even checked out yet at 9:30am. It may have been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. And now having looked back at the reviews of this hotel, I should have known better. This place is a joke. The location is fantastic though, which is a shame. :/

The place was nice, clean and comfortable, but not special enough for the rather high price. The tv didn’t work correctly either night I was there, and although they did send someone to look at it after a lengthy wait, it was not fixed. Couldn’t get most channels at all and others cut in/out sporadically. Glad I had a book.

All was as expected at a Double Tree.

Pros: Location.
At around 9pm on Saturday, I went to the front desk to buy some bottled-water. I noticed the beverage and snack area earlier near the front desk. Since it was not in a vending machine so I assumed you must pay for it at the desk or charge it to your room. When I didn't find anyone at the desk for 2-3 minutes, I took two bottles and planned to speak to them the next day about paying for them. When I mentioned it the following morning to the front desk staff, they apologized for not being available the previous night and even offered me another bottle of water for my trouble. I appreciated the humble customer service.

The hotel was very nice, had secure parking in garage below the hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant on the top floor was excellent.

Nice downtown location.

I chose this hotel based on the location to the historical landmarks. It was clean, quiet and secure location. It had the amenities that I wanted onsite.
