Nice hotel, poor staff person

Pros: The 2 room suite layout to the room with a nice large living room and a bedroom with nice dresser space, closet, etc. Air conditioning worked well!
Cons: Sleeper sofa bed very bad quality -need better mattress. Better check in staff as far as speaking languages and being clear about the reception.
Location: excellent location - right on the main street of shops and restaurants, a healthy walk from the train station, close to boats and waterfront
Our room had the water heated mounted on the ceiling/wall right over your head where you stand to use the sink and mirror! Very much in the way. The room wasn't set up as a triple as reserved, so told us to use the sofa bed but no pillows, sheets or blankets for it. Upon check in the staff person told us to enjoy free drinks and appetizers at 6:30 so we went and were charged for the drinks!! He should have stood behind what he said and not charged. The 2-room suite layout at this hotel was very nice with a large living room, bedroom with nice dresser space and closet. The obstacle on the bathroom wall was the biggest negative, as well as the staff member at the front desk. The location of this hotel is very good. A little jaunt from the train station but not bad. Excellent access to main street of shops and restaurants, plus to the waterfront - which is absolutely incredible, awesome, breathtaking! Boat trips to Cinque Terre 5 launch from this waterfront.

Great Location

Location: Harbor, city center, Cinque Terra
Great setting for visiting the city, harbor, and onto the five villages by train. Very convenient...the room was clean and roomy. My only complaint was I found the mattress lumpy but everything else was really great. Lots of walking and we were very happy with everything.
