Overnight visit

Pros: The convenience to activities was great.
Location: very easy to find
With a late chek in and early departure there wasn't much time to observe the motel.

Big Surprise!

At the price, I fully expected this place to be nasty. I only needed a place to pass out. What a very nice motel!

This motel is very dated and run down, the only saving grace is the manager was friendly

Pros: Free Internet, location to csu chico and downtown
Cons: Noisy, terrible bathroom, uncomfortable bed, room smelled of old cigarette smoke
This motel is extremely dated. Our non-smoking room smelled of old cigarettes. The bathroom was awful. When you took a shower the bath tub filled with water and you were standing in 6 inches of water by the time you finished your shower. You had to wait a couple of hours for the tub to drain so the next person could take their shower. When I was at the sink brushing my teeth the room next door took a shower and the next thing I knew I was standing in a puddle of water. The water had leaked from their bathroom wall into our bathroom and my socks were soaked. We had several light bulbs burned out. We could hear all the street noise of the vehicles going down the main road and the train blowing its whistle in the middle of night. You could also hear the TV from the rooms on both sides. We had a very restless night and couldn't wait to leave. If we could have found another place to stay we would have checked out but all the other places had sold out and we had to stick it out.

This motel is very reasonable compared to other motels in Chico.

Pros: Quiet
The staff was very nice and easy to work with. It is nice but very old.

Good Place - you get what you pay for!

I travel to Chico a lot and have stayed at almost everyplace listed. From the Hotel Diamond to the Vagabond. Don't get me wrong. This is not a luxury place -- but for $ dollars - it is a great value. Room was small - but about the same size as at the Holiday Inn. However, but the closet was big and the shower was surprisingly nice - large and tiled. Location is ok - town is a short walk away. The owner's are friendly and helpful. Bottom line - not the best place in town, but with proper expectations - definatily one of the best values.
