the hotel exterior is being blasted, but this was not revealed until arrival. I stupidly booked two lengthy stays for business at the same time on hotel.com so was stuck with the place. Noisy during the day. first stay in spite of asking not to be near elevator was put in a room exactly opposite the elevator -- in this hotel the elevators are not in a separate area.
The hotel offers 'green' not replacing sheets and towels daily but this weirdly is paired with not cleaning the room at all and with a $10 possibility of room service -- but even coffee with tax and mandatory 18% tip plus delivery fee of $2.50 comes to $14.50 so paying $4.5 for coffee not nice. There is no in room coffee maker so the alternative is to dress and troop downstairs for the 'complementary' coffee that hotels in this price range offer. The same for the 'complementary' wi fi that is actually only in the lobby -- which is very small, and otherwise is over $10, again, for the price range odd. Having been stuck with approx 10 days across two trips, I will not return. Have recently stayed at both the Omni and the Intercontinental on Michigan Ave and the Omni wins by miles -- quiet room, clean, comfortable, long stay and had turn down plus coffee machine, very very pleasant staff, clean gym (not like the Warwick with the gym in an odd alcove under the roof)
