Nice Hotel in the Heart of River North

At first our check in was delayed because our room wasn't ready at 5 PM. I spoke to the front desk about the need to get ready for our dinner reservations at 630. They were very accommodating by giving us a free room upgrade and a discount at the the Primehouse restaurant on site (which I would also recommend when you visit). The studio suite was spacious and comfortable for the wife and I. Beautiful bathrooms with robes. This hotel is just off Michigan Avenue so very close to shopping and the Chicago River. I look forward to staying here once again when we return to Chicago.

Lovely hotel and staff. Great location, close to restaurants, shopping, visiting millennium park and taking the subway or a walk up to Lincoln Park.

The James Hotel is very close to shops & bus routs The staff were very friendly & helpful it's also very clean.

Accueil très peu aimable par un monsieur de la réception . Problème sur beaucoup de chambres : elles donnent sur un large complexe de climatisation très bruyant et gênant la nuit

Walking distance to downtown

Great hotel near everything in downtown

Big room with the most comfy bed, separate seating area, & great bathroom with upmarket toiletries. Staff were all friendly & helpful. Free bikes a nice bonus.

Value questionable.

Started off a little concerned as I called to see about early check in. I was told they didn't have a reservation for me; despite me having a confirmation number from hotels.com. They did have rooms available and were able to book one for us. The lobby is small and not well suited for gathering. The room was small but functional. However, for less then the price of our room we've stayed at other hotels in the area that were more spacious. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Everything was fine but would consider other options next time based on value.
