I did not get the room that I booked. No refrigerator, no microwave, no coffe pot. The coffee in the reception area was always empty. Toilet would not flush. Tub was filthy. Bed sheets had burn holes. VERY NOISY.

Terrible hotel

I arrived late to the hotel coming from a ND football game. The room smelled like people were smoking cigarettes during their last stay. I was gonna get a shower but the water was scorching hot and you couldn't adjust the temperature because the knob was broke. The tub looked extremely dirty. Needless to say I couldn't shower. I decided to keep the room since I checked in really late and left early in the morning. I told the staff before I left but acted like that it was no big deal. They apologize and charged the room to my credit card. Needless to say I will not be staying at any red roof inn ever again.

Could not sleep. A compleye waste of money. I guess you get what you pay for. DONT think i will ever stay at these properties again. Over all very disgusting..

ok for just passing through

Pros: fairly close to o'hare
Cons: just the little details
Location: location is pretty good for getting to O'Hare but, there is really nothing in the area to do.
we were there for 3 nights. the motel is fairly close to O'Hare and doesn't really get bottle necked with traffic. that is the main redeeming quality. there was no directory for the surrounding area. not much of a variety for dining and pretty much zero for any type of attractions. there was no channel guide for the t.v. and no local phone directory which is a minor detail but still... the amenities are sparse at best, no blow dryer,, no coffee pot. you can tell they put less effort into cleaning and maintaining the smoking rooms (can't speak for the other rooms). the beds were fine but the other furniture was quite dated and hadn't been cleaned for a while. ( a fresh coat of paint on the walls and ceiling would improve it a bunch. I'm also not really a fan of excess furniture being stored in an outside stairwell. it is a fairly quiet area and wasn't a barrage of unruly guests but, I have to say that had I known that a comfort inn and a holiday inn express were in the same area I probably would have picked one of those. oh...it took us a try or two to realize that you had to put your shoulder into the door to get it open, same with the bathroom door to get it shut. if you're just looking for a place to plop down for the night and move on it's......o.k.

Greedy hotel

I booked this hotel through Travelocity few weeks my arrival date and got a rate that the hotel was advertising and selling also. Some events were scheduled that day and it got busy in that hotel. They raised the rate by 100%. So they sold my room and never contacted me or Travelocity. When I arrived, they said there is no room available. I was with Travelocity for more than hour with no help!

Don't stay here unless you absolutely have to.

Red Roof was the only place I could find near O'Hare. First the good: It was quiet enough. The check in person was very nice. 3. I had no trouble falling asleep. 4. The floors were Pergo which I liked because it's harder to hide dirt like you can in a carpet. The A/C was adequate. The bad: 1. Worst wifi ever. Terrible terrible terrible. 2. The water control in the shower is the worst I ever came across. They have the cheapest water control. It was almost impossible to set the right temperature. Another guy who was in a different room was scalded because of this. 3.The towels were paper thin. 4. The soap was awful. Synopis: Don't stay here unless there's absolutely nowhere else to go.

Displeased

The family & I tried getting away for a couple of days, I was very disappointed with my stay. Room carpets very dirty, sheets seemed cleaned but found weird brown stains on them. If the sheets get dirty, & a stain isn't coming off why not put fresh, clean, NEW sheets? Towels super small. For $70 + tax/per night, this is a ridiculous price. Overall very dissatisfied because i expected a better cleaner looking room for the price/night.
